Simple Weave: Create beautiful pieces without a loom Hardcover – March 7, 2023

A gorgeous book, beautifully illustrated and well laid out. The matt paper stock is lovely and just the overall design and feel of the book in your hands is inspiring. All that is before even looking at the great projects, ideas and explanations which are all fabulous. Highly recommend this book and also following Kirsten on her Instagram, she is so inspiring in everything she does!

“Simple Weave” is a wonderful book written by a skilled author and craftsperson that will provide knowledge of the weaving process and get you going on creating beautiful work.

I’m so thrilled to have this book. It was an interesting read and I will use it for reference going forward on carving art style ridged heddles. I have been a fan of Kerstin’s hand carved heddles for about a year but the process of being able to purchase one of her creations is a game of lottery and beat the clock. She only puts them up for sale a few times a year on her independent shop website and they sell out on a first come, how quickly can you checkout system. You have to know the day and time and make your purchase immediately to get one.Hopefully one day I will own a Kerstin Neumuller original of my very own; but until then I’m so glad to have her book. I love the section on how she carved the heddles and might one day give it a try myself.Kerstin’s an inspiration on creating usable art and I always love viewing photos of her work. Kirsten - you do beautiful work and you make the world a better place by sharing your blessed gift of creation with the rest of us. Thank You for being you and sharing a bit of joy with the rest of us who admire your artistry. I hope to one day to own and use one of your beautiful creations. The Lady and Building heddles are my favorites. I would love to see a miniature version that can also be worn as a pendant or necklace. A Weave and wear item would just be the best of both worlds, since the owner could weave their own neck cords from the very pendant heddle they are wearing. Just a thought ;)

I just started band weaving. I do think more information would be helpful, but there is a lot of great info here.

This book helps me with my mini tape loom (a rigid heddle loom) Explanations are wonderful.

I love this book so much! The author has an amazing Instagram page too, and other books which I have on my wish list.
