Game Changer
I'm a big fan of these line removers. Sure, you can sit there for 5 minutes de-spooling a reel or use this and it takes 10 seconds. A big benefit of this one compared to others I've used is the reverse feature. It allows for some ability to get the line out on the rare occurrence it gets spun up in the tool. I've had to retire a de-spooler (different product) because it only went one way, and I couldn't get the line untangled.

Broke 1st use
Started to remove the line off my fishing rod, and it broke as soon as it started. I had a braided line so I don’t know if that’s what caused it to malfunction and break.

Uni-directional, very fast
Hang on to your spool. This line remover is very fast. I had a Berkley remover and there is no comparison how much faster the Rapala is.

Not recommended for purchase
Just got mine. Took it out of the package put batteries in it and it does not turn on at all. Figured it might’ve needed line to start. Tried that nothing happened. Might return it or cut my losses and trash it

Doesn’t work on braided line
I was very disappointed upon receiving this product because either it was broken or it doesn’t work on braided lines. I refuse to believe it’s broken but I guess that’s possible

Buy the Berkeley.
Just buy the bass pro brand or the Berkeley brand this thing is horrible and I had high hopes for it. It’s a huge pain to even get the line started on in then when you do you spend more time pulling on the line then anything. Garbage just stay away
