The temperature rise under the cover is proportional to the heat efflux from the specific motor being housed and is affected by the heat transfer coefficient which is dependent on the relative humidity. Other factors which must be considered include solar radiation, the thermal mass of the underlying structure, and the velocity of the cross flow. So, somewhere in the range of 5-100°F depending on your specific setup.

Q: I have a 2.7hp hawyward vsp pool pump and the electrical wire comes of the side and not straight out of the back. are these covers customizable?

Yes, all you have to do is mark where the electric hit the cover and cut out an opening for them.

Q: Will this fit over a Hayward SP32900vsp pump?

It's pretty roomy. It's a nice fit over my Harris 1.5 hp vsp. Keeps the pump protected from sun and direct rain.

Mine is 16 inches high by 16 1/2 inches long by 11 1/2 inches wide. The width is the inside dimension. The unit will not cover the whole pump but will cover the control panel which is most vulnerable to the elements.
