Q: Does it fit well with the Hellas & Elysium board added?

It does not in my opinion. There is a gap when adding a second board. I leave my original board on the outside.

Q: What is the point of buying this when it is more expensive than the actual game?

It is simply a better gaming experience. The resource trays make it so you can't bump your resource sheet and lose track of everything, and everything is perfectly organized. If you love the game and play it game regularly, it's well worth the extra cost.

Q: Will this fit the Venus: Next expansion?

It does a good job of holding the Venus Next expansion. The cards have plenty of room in the card holder. The small cardboard tokens fit in the space at the front of the card holder, and the small add-on board fits inside the top player tray.

Q: Will this fit all the cards with card protectors on them?

Yes, I used the higher quality sleeves (upper deck or fantasy flight) and they fit...tightly, including the promos, player aids, and Venus expansion. You will have to remove one of the dividers though. Not sure what will work for the third expansion coming out in late 2018? I also have both game boards in my box and the lid is slight raised but it is the best solution I have seen yet. I did use paint marker pens and painted mine... looks great.
