Not a harsh as fryer pucks which is a huge advantage. I do not know if they would clean these old fryers to the same endpoint as the fryer pucks but now that we are doing routine cleaning this stuff works great

Why did you pick this product vs others?:If you want a good clean, the fryer pucks are much better. This product is not that great. We took a fryer that was sparkling clean (with a puck a week prior) used it moderately with no breaded or battered items. Followed the instructions and actually left the cleaning solution in overnight. The sides still needed a lot of scrubbing (unlike pucks) and simply required more work. I would pass on this product.

Worked well on the grease. Not so much on carbon build up

Expensive but it works, and apparently it's safe (it hasn't killed us). I use it on a home fryer (about a 1 gal oil tank). 30-60 min soak and the grease is sloughing off. Yes some remains burned on - but the fryer is more than 5 years old and sees heavy use. I just purchased my second bottle of this product.

I will only use the boil out type, but this stuff really works great. This product does not need boiling water in order to work.

I liked the cleaner. I use it to clean my mid-size fryer in my food trailer. I have an extra vat and basket so I usually empty the grease, fill with hot water and the amount of product.....leave it on the stove with only the pilot light to warm the pan. The next day...I clean and it's ready to go the following week.
