Q: Can this be installed on a glass wall?

I'm a big gal (230 lbs.) and I wanted to make sure it would "hold my weight" when I use it to stand up (which it does!) I just don't see how you could feel secure in it ever attaching well enough to a glass wall to do that. Even if you are just wanting it to just be able for it to hold toilet paper, the unit itself is too heavy to attach to a glass wall for that. Just my 2 cents. :)

Q: I'm considering this for installing on an oak vanity cabinet. It should work for toilet paper dispensing but what about grab bar weight?

The documentation says that this unit meets the ADA requirements for 250 lbs. I have owned this item for a year now and would have to agree with the rating. I mounted my bar with 1/4 inch lag bolt thru one of the mounting points into a wall stud. The other mounting point is what came in the package for drywall mounting. I am six foot tall and 230 lbs and have no trouble with the unit holding my weight. Each mounting point can be mounted using a 1/4 inch screw, or three smaller wood screws around the center of the 1/4 inch hole, or the drywall mount included in the package. It is all good quality stainless steel and very sturdy. I see that it now comes in a darker color. I got the brushed nickle look. I like the unit and recommend it. The grab bar is one inch diameter tubing and if your OK with this small of a grip then it is a wonderful choice.

Unfortunately, Moen does not offer an inverted installation option due to the specific design for the decorative mounting covers. Q: Is This right or left handed?

I guess its right handed - you could mount it on the left side and it would probably work as well, just that the open end would be facing forward.... sorry, hope that helps.
