Much better than I expected. A tip on assembly....
The media could not be loaded. Was looking to renovate my office and put in some new lighting integrated with Philips Hue bulbs and Alexa control.Didn't want anything overly expensive, and certainly nothing overly cheap. I am very happy to say that these Adesso floor lamps fit the bill perfectly.I took a blind chance and purchased two of these floor lamps at once. They both arrived in a smaller box than I had expected. The parts were very well packed. There was nothing missing. The instructions were fairly good. I have seen better instructions for this kind of furniture build, but at least the included manual properly labeled every single board, post and screw so that one really has very little difficulty identifying what goes where and gets fastened with what.I am pretty good with building furniture. This took me about 30 minutes for the first lamp and 20 minutes for the second, once I knew what I was doing.Basically, the normal Philips screws go through the bottom and top boards. The rest of the posts are inserted with long screws, whereas you have to manually screw the posts to tighten in place. This was the most laborious part of the assembly. Did not particularly enjoy having to manually turn all these individual posts into place.Someone else mentioned this in their review, and it bears repeating as it is the essential thing you should remember when putting this lamp together: save the four shortest posts for last. They go on top of the lamp assembly. It's very easy to mix those short posts up with the longer ones, so put the four of them aside when you open the box.In all, the assembly is pretty easy. The worst part was trying to peel off the warning stickers on each shelf. In fact, I had to get adhesive remover liquid to get it all off the board. I thought that I was missing the socket screw, but that could be found on the socket's electrical cord. The quality? Well, when putting this lamp together it's very easy to see how cheaply made it is. It's basically pressed wood. It does feel very inexpensive. However, I must say, once put together, it looked pretty darn nice. You can see how two of them look in the included photo.I am using a Philips A19 colored HUE bulb. It's the equivalent of about a 60w regular bulb. With two of these lamps, the bulbs still don't do a great job of delivering great light to a small bedroom sized office. However, the lights are more for ambient effect than anything else. You are warned not to use 3-way or Halogen bulbs as they could cause a fire.Is it sturdy? Yes. I am not fearful of it being knocked over without someone banging into it first. The shelves are small, and probably best used for photos or some small statue decorations.I think, in all, most people will be very happy with these lamps. They are great for dorm rooms or those just starting out in their first apartment. I don't think, however, they are a good means of lighting up a large room. These seem to be more ambient orientated than for main lighting purposes.

Love them! Perfect for us! Def recommend!
We ordered 2 lamps which worked perfect along each side of my bed since we had a limited amount of space to work with and also wanted to have something to set our phone, water, or a book on at night. Putting them together took about 20-30 mins while watching a football game. All of the parts were included and they look just like what the picture shows. We use LED lights in them which work perfect and even if we have only 1 on at night we can still both read etc as there is plenty of light! We are very happy with our purchase and would recommend them to anyone looking for a similar product!

Maybe 4.5 stars if it holds up long term... We'll see
I'm pretty handy and it still took me more than 20 min to assemble. The screws that connect each level are threaded on both ends with no place to use a screwdriver making it harder to get them in, but this is critical for stability. Grab some pliers and take a few extra minutes. Getting the shade clips on was the second hardest part of assembly. Laminated wood painted black. I could see the paint cracking and de-laminating out the box. Sturdy on a flat surface, less so on carpet. Still good enuff so I don't worry about it falling or my pets knocking stuff off the shelves. I liked this design with the shelves and looked at lots of versions. This one is mid-range on the price and prolly quality too (I don't recommend going any cheaper). I wish it were a little taller but that would require a much larger base to be sturdy. I read the bad reviews and don't think I agree with them (could be sturdier but I've had way worse). Also mine has a black cord, guess the manufacturer changed that recently. Overall I'm happy with it

Great Lamp -- Would purchase again.
This is a very attractive and sturdy lamp. I experienced none of the assembly problems or hardware defects mentioned in other reviews. When it comes to assembly you should inventory your parts and read assembly instructions so you know how it all goes together before you begin.Just blasting into assembly without a plan is how people go wrong. Don't be like other people! LOLI assembled this quickly in about 20 minutes. You do need a screwdriver and pliers. I've never yet seen any furniture assembly that didn't require a couple basic tools and this is no exception. The 12 no-head bolts need to be tightened down with piers. You cannot do this by hand or screwdriver (this is where the pliers come in). It doesn't mention tigtening these no-head bolts in the insructions using pliers, but it's one of those common sense steps you take when assembling furniture.I was surprised at how sturdy the shelves were for a modestly priced lamp. Of course the heaviest objects should be placed on the lower shelves for stability. Oh, BTW, this lamp has 3 shelves, NOT two as the description states. As others have mentioned it's not as bright as you might expect because the shade is farily dark and blocks light. It does throw more light to the ceiling because there is no shade or obstruction in that direction. You can use a higher wattage LED bulb to give you brighter light to overcome the dark shade. The shade is far away from the bulb, so even with a high wattage bulb, there is no danger of catching the shade on fire.I would buy this lamp again without reservation. Great lamp!

Lovely straightforward lamp that accommodates large bulbs easily.
I bought this lamp in order to accommodate the KAEZI 85 Watt CFL, a HUGE bulb - CFLs are usually rated by "watt equivalent" but this is literally 85 watts and almost as big as my head. I use it if I need a quick and easy way to make a room as bright and cheerful as daylight, when it's dark outside. The problem is that a huge, brilliant CFL isn't the nicest thing to look at. That's where the Adesso comes in. I've used a few different Adesso models but they consistently offer attractive solid lamps with plenty of room for an oversized bulb. This one was a bit trickier to assemble than some of the others, but I still managed it in under half an hour, and my lover is delighted that she has a nice bright room to write in whenever she wants.

but considering the price and style I think the stability is reasonably good, so long as you tighten each level's spacers ...
They're decent lamps. I bought two of them for $49 each after looking at the .com reviews, and consider them reasonable enough value for that price. Assembly is simple and took maybe 20 minutes per lamp. The lamps aren't rock-solid stable, but considering the price and style I think the stability is reasonably good, so long as you tighten each level's spacers as tight as possible without over-tightening and damaging the spacers. I damaged one leg by tightening it too far (it was pretty obvious I was risking breaking the part), but just epoxied/clamped it back together and it's probably stronger than it was in the first place. Eventually I'm going to use a bracket to hold it against a side table the lamps stand against for added stability. The lampshade holds shape fairly well if you spend a minute before putting it in place making it square, since it ships flattened. The lampshades are decent quality, though there's a noticeable band on one corner where the ends are joined together.I used a lightbulb socket splitter to stick two RGB Philips Hue bulbs in each lamp and it turned out very well. The two bulbs barely fit in, but I'm not exactly using the lamp as intended with a single bulb, so there's plenty of room if you plan on something nonstandard. The only thing I don't particularly like about the lamp's set-up is the power cord for the lamp. The cord itself is fine, however you're only given 3 clips to hold the cord against one of the lamp legs. It would have been nice to have twice as many clips.

Bang for your buck? I think so...
The media could not be loaded. At first I was hesitant about this lamp but after assembling it, I actually ended up liking it. Before purchasing, I spent a while searching for lamps similar to this on various sites such as Kijiji and letgo but none of them were quite like this one. As you can see in the video, I have my portable speaker on one of the shelves. It is pretty sturdy and was pretty easy to assemble as well.

great product back by great customer service :)
I bought this because it looks uniquely stylish and the description sounds awesome.I was unable to finish building it because i was shipped one too many small pieces of wood. This was a great opportunity to check out their customer support. They responded right away and sent me the missing part without question. It just took a month to get here because the stamp had fallen off en route. SO i was very joyful when it finally did show up and i could complete the lamp. It does look very beautiful. So it is a great product backed by great customer support. I feel invested in this product now. So much so that i might just add a few pictures to this :)

Great lamp for the price
Cheap, decent quality, and easy to assemble. The vertical pieces don't line up perfectly with the corners but you don't really notice once it's set up unless you look very closely. It works great with Phillips Hue but may be a little dim if you plan on using it for more than just ambient lighting.Make sure you set aside the 4 short pieces that are on top of everything when you open the box. They're meant for the lamp shade portion but I had used them on the bottom of the lamp which meant had to do some disassembly. I also recommend folding the shade along the creases a couple times to help it stay square and be sure to install the dowels that hold it in place.

Ready to feel accomplished?
I bought this lamp a couple of years ago when it was around $50, which was a steal compared to other retailers who were selling it for over $100. I thought I would give in to the benevolent spirit and allow my girlfriend to have a place on her side of the bed to place her morning coffee. As an added bonus, this would also relinquish me from the responsibility of turning the light off at the end of the night. I thought that I'd like to test this lamp out before getting another just to be sure of its durability and brightness.Have you ever read the controversial partially fictional novel "A Million Little Pieces" by James Frey? Neither have I, which is probably why I was so overwhelmed upon opening this box. It took me the better part of an hour to assemble this lamp. It was not overly complicated but it was laborious. There were just so many pieces. But, having made sure that every single piece was screwed in properly, I was quite happy with the stability of the lamp. I never put anything especially heavy on it, but it's a safe place to put glasses of water, dirty cereal bowls, hair ties, or whatever your girlfriend feels like leaving at your house. The light is not supremely bright but you can read just fine by it.Now after a couple of years I feel as though I am up to the task to buy and assemble another one of these beauties... as soon as that price drops again, that is :)
