Baby Jogger Belly Bar for Single Stroller City Select

We have the Baby Jogger Summit G3. Love it. BUT the accessories are ridiculously expensive given the high cost of the stroller already!! We purchased the Britax handle bar caddy, Jeep bug and rain covers, and LLBean stroller sleeping bag (as opposed to Baby Joggers waaaaay overpriced footmuff), but we did purchase the belly bar from Baby Jogger (you pretty much have to).We love that it tilts to adjust the height (so our smaller baby can see over it too), and it is great to attach toys too. Our baby uses it as a footrest when we are jogging and of course likes to chew on it when we are just strolling. We like that it is washable. Worth it.We went with this over the snack tray because of the adjustable height and the fact that it wouldn't block our baby's view.You DO have to be careful to buy the version that fits the Summit as the City Mini or City Versa models don't fit.

As the previous reviewer wrote, be careful which option you choose. Amazon does a poor job of labelling this product. They even state in the product description "Attaches securely to a variety of Baby Jogger strollers". The names of the choices you have do not make sense. the Multicolor/Black is for the City Select, and the Spirit is for the City Elite and Mini. They both looked black to me, so I just chose the first option. Amazon.com, please label them appropriately, as I have ended up with a bar that does not match my stroller!That said, I'm sure this is a great product - I think a belly bar for a stroller is really important to have. I saw the product and it looks quite sturdy and great material that you would expect from Baby Jogger. Still will give the product itself 5 stars.

I'm not sure that this accessory is entirely necessary, but my baby (6m) loves it so I'm happy with it. She likes to hold on to it and it's great for attaching toys to keep her occupied too.

This belly bar is perfect for my 3 y/o. I love that it opens by swinging "up" and not "out". So I can use it with the seat configuration I use (bassinet at the front and rear seat facing parent). I wish the snack tray was the same way. I like the zippered fabric cover on the bar as well. Installation is easy once you know what you are doing. Directions are poor. I was able to attach a universal cup holder to it and it works well.

Did not fit the stroller. My husband and my sister spent about half an hour trying to figure out how to attach it, and the conclusion was that there is no way. I think it was not wide enough (yes, we have the city select for which its made) and the instructions that came with it were useless (their site didn't have better ones). Returning.

This has just taken me about 20 minutes to figure out to fit it. The instructions in black and white (and far too dark) were impossible to follow. I went online to see if there were any videos on youtube (there werent) and looked on Baby Joggers website to see if there were any clearer instructions. I was about to give up and conclude that the item just didnt fit, when I decided to have one last go (out of sheer frustration if anything - IT WAS GOING TO FIT!!) and it eventually did. Now I know how it goes it will be a doddle in future, but the initial set up is rediculous, mainly due to very poor instructions. I know people who found it easy will roll their eyes (as I always do when reading about others difficulty in assembling things ive found really simple) but I really dont usually find it this hard, and Ive had loads of strollers/prams that ive set up with no problems at all!Missing my extra easy bugaboo cameleon already :0(This is Baby Joggers fault - not the seller. DS loves to hold on when we stroll around town. I'm really surprised that it doesn't come with the stroller as it seems that it's a safety hazard to not have a bar. At first the bar sat really high, but DH grew into it and it's in the perfect place for him to grab ahold of it.It's a little difficult to use with a puffy bundle me in the wintertime and I've had to take it off, but otherwise, a great addition to our City Select!

I was scared to purchase this from all the reviews saying the description was incorrect and it didnt fit their city selects, But i went ahead and did it anyways, i figured if it didnt fit i was using amazon prime so i would just send it back.It just came in the mail today, and its exactly what i want. I have a 2012 City Select in the new Quartz color, and i need a belly bar for my 28m old. I use the stroller as a double, but my other son is only 7 weeks old so he is in a carseat adapter on the top. Just 1 belly bar is all i need, for now.Before i ordered it, i actually called baby jogger and i got the actual part number for a City Select belly bar, which is BJ50919. She said dont be deterred if it says "Single City Select" they all say that because they are sold as singles but can be made into doubles. regardless, the City Select is NOT a side by side stroller anyways. I checked the part number on the description here and it said 50919, so i went with it.I am putting up pictures to show you what i received. I guess if you are worried, just go with the PRIME one under more buying choices. That way you will get the same one i got.
