I have only tested this at home and can't wait to put it through its paces in the wild.What I can honestly tell you is that this is inexpensive, but appears solidly built. The suction cup is very strong (tested it on a window) and I have no worry that it will hold up outside the vehicle. The tether provided is also a good insurance against accidental loss, and is long and strong.The joints are very good. the joint near the suction cup has detents so it locks solidly. The joint next to the camera isn't quite as secure, but none the less solid. I wish it was a bit more secure however.The plastic build is solid and should hold up for a long time and hold up to a good degree of abuse. I like the pouch it comes in so that is a nice touch.I recommend the product as an inexpensive solution with a good value.

Got this Suction Cup Mount about a week ago and has been using it and testing it out. I'm very impressed on how well it works. It's very sturdy once you lock it to the windshield. I tried to shake the base with my hand to see what the amount of play it has, and surprisingly it didn't move anywhere. I also have other windshield suction cup mount besides this GOMA suction cup, but the lock seems loose. I don't know if it's a defect or something, but when I tried to shake the base a to see if it has any kind of play, and it does. It's been very hot here in Texas for the past couple weeks, and so far this GOMA suction cup mount been great standing up to it. My other suction cup seems to be a little loose when it get's hot, but not this GOMA suction cup. Anyhow, so far I'm very satisfied with this GOMA suction cup mount. Highly recommended. For that being said, the durability of it I do not know just yet as I only had this for a week. I will try to post another review and let you know about the durability of it.Oh, didn't mention about the nice faux leather bag that it comes with. It's nice to have it, but I find that you don't really need it for the mount once it's lock on your windshield. However, it's nice to put your GoPro in to avoid scratches when putting away your GoPro when your car is parked. If you're using it for a dash cam :)This is just an honest review. Bought this mount for my Kayak; I'm really impressed with how solidly it attaches to the smooth plastic hull. The suction cup seems to be a thicker material than you commonly see on mobile phone mounts, and really grabs. Once the lever is engaged, it feels almost like you could use the mount to pick the boat up. The included leash is plenty long -- I have it around one of the grab cords that run around the perimeter of the deck and then under the screw head. The loops in the ends of the leash are big enough to fit loosely around the screw, but small enough to stay captive under the large end of the screw.I haven't capsized (yet) with the mount, but I really don't expect it to go anywhere.Updated -- one year later, I'm still happy with the GOMA mount, but the screws for the adjustment have corroded quite a bit from salt water; they look like they'll eventually dissolve. Perhaps if I'd cleaned them with fresh water and dried them off after each use they'd be in better shape, but I'd prefer good quality stainless hardware. I still expect a couple years service before having to replace, but I'm also going to put a light coat of oil on the screws and nuts to try to slow down the corrosion.Dropping from 5 to 4 stars.

When I purchased this I was a little hesitant to use this product as most suction cups I've ever used in the past just sucked. After using this product and constantly checking it for the first 30 mins I knew it wasn't going anywhere without actually trying to take it off which was also difficult because of the suction. This is an awesome product, the name "Best go pro suction cup mount" is very accurate! Its suction is amazing. Used it on the freeway at about 70 mph, then went off roading, mounted it on the outside of my brother's Rubicon And it stayed for about 5 hours without ever feeling like it was going to come off.Overall great suction cup to trust your expensive go pro with, can mount it on the inside or outside. Its a bonus that it comes with a tether that I also used. If your looking for a suction cup for your go pro or any other action cam (with go pro attachment via screw in adapter, can be found on amazon) then don't hesitate to buy this!

It is a great addon for my GoPro, The suction of the cup is great.However, the only downside to the product is that the thumbscrew on the first part of the holder (closest to the suction cup) is not the standard GoPro mount material (the screw and the tilting mechanism unfortunately is different from the standard mounting format). I wanted to use an extender piece to be able to extend the range of the camera when I mount it on the inside of my windscreen in the car, but that does not fit because the crew is too small to fit any other accessories. Too bad, because it would have made the item more versatile to set up and to use in many more ways.
