6-Cup Water Philtre Pitcher

I've been using the beautiful glass Soma water filter for more than 5 years, but purchased this skinnier plastic jug version so that I could fit it in the fridge.On first use, the taste was pure chemicals, I assumed there was a contaminant in the filter, and so I opened another filter, but with the same chemical results. I contacted Soma thinking there must be a bad batch of filters, but they just told me I was not prepping the filter correctly. They had no interest in taking back the filter and jug to investigate. Instead It was left to me. I took the bad tasting filter, and placed it in my glass Soma water jug, and the chemical smell and flavor was not present. The plastic jug was emitting the chemical taste and odor into the water, not the filter. Soma seemed unaware of this issue, perhaps it was a freshly manufactured jug and off gassing from the manufacturing process. I left it alone for 3 weeks, and eventually the chemical taste and odor disappeared.So be patient, it's a well designed jug that filters water rapidly and fits in the door of the fridge, but please don't waste your time with Soma support.Soma filters do produce nice tasting water, however the customer service leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

The water through this filter is undrinkable. I have a Brita but I bought this as it looked nice for my kitchen. I have tried running water through it daily to see if it improves but it tastes awful like really strong chemicals. I would like to return it or get some help but there is no information on how to do that on Amazon.

What are these black dots in my water? my water is clean from the tap but has chlorine and other things which aren't healthy so I use Soma to clean them

Looks great and fits in fridge door however I just can’t use it despite trying and trying! Not fit for purpose, water just drips down the sides when you pour meaning it can only be used over the sink! Not practical!

Water filter is aesthetically pleasing, however, it's useless.The spout itself does not even open, did not wish to force it so had to send it back.Was so looking forward to getting it but very disappointed that it does not do basics like allow pouring of actual water.

I bought this jug in December last year 2022 and it soon after started to let water drip even when we weren't filling it to the top. Around April this year 2023 Mould marks everywhere around the filters and the lid just as shown on other added images in some reviews. Disappointed with the product and unfortunately can't reccomend.
