It arrived a few days earlier than what it said. I replaced it on my Mackie SRM450 v1 and took it my next gig. The speaker sounded just a little lower than my other speaker but it got the job done. For the price, I'm very happy with it.

I had to file away some of the plastic on the mount that secures this in place. Not a huge issue and it works fine. Fixed my SRM450.

So I had to replace the diaphragm in my Mackie SRM 450 that I purchased in 2007. Not bad for a speaker that gets weekly use at my mobile gigs. Please note your gonna need a really long screwdriver if you intend to do this fix yourself! Watched a video on YouTube. Followed the directions and Bam had my highs back for the next gig. The old one looked like a cross between tinsel and swiss cheese when I took it out. This is a no-brainer especially for the price. I am going to buy 2-3 more as spares as I am guessing that my other ones may go soon. This is the Modern Dude and I approve this message!

Significantly different treble response from this vs the SRM450 stock tweeter. It is the difference between sounding good and not very good. It isn't even a difference between it being louder or quieter, I found the trimpot that adjusts the HF amp gain, and tried to adjust it to match my two stock SRM450's with a signal generator and laboratory sound meter, but the response was totally different at other frequencies. Lumpy. I even had a girl who doesn't do any music stuff come up to me at a show and point out that one of the speakers was hurting her ears, but one of them sounded good. It is a pain opening up the speaker, with the many buried screws and screwdriver extensions, to the point where I don't want to fix it, or return it, or replace it, it just means this speaker sounds worse from now on, and mismatched from the others. Recommend looking elsewhere, if you can find a different manufacturer, seems like most of them out there look identical to this. To the seller, I would look for a different manufacturer as well, for usable SRM450 replacements, because this isn't it.
