This is the most stunning mailbox I have ever owned. In fact, it is so amazing that I ended up buying another one for my neighbor. His looked so sad next to mine that he made me get one for him. Now we have the best looking boxes on the street.Even the mailman commented on it the other day. And made me go in and get him the link. (True story)You will be amazed at how good this thing looks outside your house.

Requires some assembly, attaching the flag and the handle/catch. Other than that, seems to be quire well made. Some have complained about wet mail, hasn't happened to me. I suspect their box is tipped slightly backwards, and in driving rain, water probably gets in around the door and goes back into the box. I've tilted mine very slightly forward. The box itself is attractive and sturdy. It attached easily to my existing post, and it has a number of different mounting holes underneath, should be easy to use with most posts. The finish is attractive, looks quite professional.No real complaints. 4 stars only because of the assembly required.

This is a nice looking mailbox and built relatively well. I've been very happy with it for the several months that I have had it. Worth the money for sure!

I would be surprised if it lasts more than a few yearsOthers:* The material also seems to attract moisture more than "standard" material mailboxes. Perhaps your mileage will vary, but when mounted next to my 4 other neighbors mailbox, mine is the only one speckled with moisture! As a commenter mentioned, this is probably because of a fresh seal of wax.

If I could give this 0 stars I would. I was honestly disappointed when I was ready to set this up. Had my older mailbox ready to pitch when I found out the new mailbox I ordered was dented and the hinges were smashed in. The box it came in wasn't damaged nor was the delivery box. I will order another and hope it won't be damaged again.

I was very happy with the appearance of the mailbox when I received the package. It was easy to put together and install but after a couple months of use, it doesn't close properly any more. In order to close it so there is no open gap, you have to push both sides firmly, it does not close by simply pushing the latch on the top. That means if I don't run out right after the mail is delivered and grab my mail, if it is raining my mail will get wet.

Haven't had it for long but it looks good, neat and tidy on our newly painted mailbox post. The mailbox is has a nice subtle matte sheen to it. It is certainly an improvement on the old faded black plastic tacky thing we had for years. Hope it continues to look good but for the price, I'm okay with it not lasting for a decade.

Thanks to the reviews and the description I knew what we were getting. A relatively inexpensive brown-ish metal mailbox with polished brass accents. It came packaged nicely (and all the brass parts were separate!) and was exactly as described. I bought it for the brass accents, knowing that we really wanted it to be black to match our house. I used a satin black spray paint on the metal box, let it dry, attached the brass flag and handles and it turned out great. Exactly what we wanted and for a good price. Way better than our old plastic mailbox!PRO: brass is shiny, looks good, inexpensiveCON: wasn't available in black, but I didn't let that stop me
