Great sound and authentic usability
I bought this instrument to accompany a choir that was singing African style music. It’s so nice to have an actual African bell as opposed to a cowbell or some other form of instrument that does not align with the actual culture. It is everything I hoped it would be and was not expensive and I would recommend this to anyone looking for the same kind of instrument.

Another great percussion instrument from Ghana
Another great percussion instrument from Ghana! These are handmade bells with a sweet sound that cuts right through on top of the drums, without having to play them hard. The stick they provided was a stick right off a tree, but works fine as it is hard wood. Good stuff from a good company doing good in Africa.

Decent bell
This Gankogui (Agogo) seems well made and sounds pretty good. I like the pitches of the bells and the "overtone" ring of the larger bell is easily damped with one finger. I like the "stick" that was supplied with the bell. It is just the right weight, density and length. I've seen complaints of not having a proper stick included. If the player uses some manufactured drumstick or a heavy beater, their next complaint will be that the bell broke too easily. These instruments need a light touch with a medium density beater. They are not constructed to be "wailed upon".

African Bells
Item was OK. The smaller bell is dead sounding.

Sounds great
Nice loud, full body sound that I like a lot. Perfect size to hold and play comfortably with a closer-to mid-range sound and is not too heavy (weight). Once someone gets the hang of it, it's not too difficult to knock out some nice intricate patterns with various different tones.
