Grest covers
Covers are rubberized and stretch to fit. Once they are on they won't come off unless you force them off. Love how the cap flips all the way back to give the shooter a better field view.Price point and color options are definitely a plus.

These are a great value
These fit snugly and seem well built. They are a great value for the price. Pretty much equivalent to vortex defender caps but much cheaper.

Great cover and good alternative to 100 Concept lens cap
$10 vs $25+shipping for 100 concepts lens cover. I used it for my surefire light. Only minor gripe is the rubber is really really tacky. Fuzz sticks to it.

A little trimming gave a better fit.
First off, I didn't put this on a Monstrum scope. My goal was to keep the eyepiece of my Leupold Freedom RDS from collecting dust. It it on one of my HD AR-15s that sits up right by the wall. The scope size is right in the middle of this attachment range, so I want sure. The rubber was really too long to cover the rear without leaving the whole thing flexible to close. Trimming about half off the rubber was easy enough with good scissors.Mounting it may have been an easy enough stretch, but the scope being waterproof simplified it even more. Water with just a touch of soap applied sparingly to the inner rubber ring that remained let it slip on more easily. No different than installing window tint or a gps suction mount. Once the water dried it is s as tight as it needs to be.It snaps open and closed easily and firmly.Sure beats $69-99 for a Leupold aluminum cover to accomplish the same thing!

The plastic is brittle. The hinge broke right away.
This product seemed like a great solution, but unfortunately, it failed almost immediately. Two days of light use and the hinge cracked and broke therefore making the product completely worthless.I also noticed that despite the concept of having a rubbery cup which form seals to the end of an optic, the seal is not great, and despite ordering the size specific to my optic, it works it's self loose and droops which creates problems seeing through the optic.I would suggest people look elsewhere for a sturdier product. This cap was a bit more expensive when I first purchased it, and I see it has come down in price there is probably a good reason for that.
