Here's my horror story: After a "super-lice"¹ outbreak at my daughter's school, and my daughter catching it, we spent a lot of money and time on so many different products to rid her of this horrible pest. We bought almost every type of over-the-counter lice treatment (most of which had a "lice and nit comb" include). My daughter has very long and THICK hair. The lice/nit combs included in the kits were almost always plastic, and even if they were metal, they were still very cheaply made. Needless to say, each and every one of them broke upon first use. So then I went to our local beauty store and bought a $10 lice comb they had that looked more sturdy and had the prongs very close to each other (so it'd hopefully pick up everything). Problem was, they would not glide through my daughter's thick hair, not even in small sections with lot of conditioner. By this point we are months into the process and while she'd be good for a few days, it only took a week or so and she was infested again. I was at my wits end and started to worry about all the chemicals being continuously used on her (not to mention the damage it was doing to her hair). I started doing the natural coconut oil and tee tea oil remedy (Google it if you want directions). It worked great and the time between infestations was longer, but she still had them coming back. After a lot of research I realized she's not re-catching the lice, but that all these methods just killed the actual full grown or baby lice, not necessarily the eggs, and those stupid cheap combs included weren't pulling them out. So we were killing most the lice, but week or two later when those tiny eggs hatched we had an infestation again. I ordered this comb based off reviews and having tried basically everything else. I was hesitant that this comb would be like the one I purchased at the beauty store and not comb through her hair, but just get stuck and yank out her hair. HOWEVER, once I got it, I ran it through her DRY hair and it ran through smoothly, which was a surprise considering how close each prong was to another. So I was very hopefully. I then did the apple cider, coconut oil, and tea tree oil method (Google for directions, the apple cider loosens the "glue" type substance on the eggs). I then used this comb to go through her coconut oiled hair and not only did it glide through smoothly not matter what angle I was combing from (down, right, left, up) but it caught the eggs, nits, and tiniest, newly hatched baby lice (we're talking so small I could only tell they were there by wiping on paper towel and using magnifying glass). I also made sure to start at the very root of her since the eggs attach near scalp. It was amazing (and gross) what this comb took out. I let the oil treatment sit over night (as recommend, and btw coconut oil is an amazing conditioning treatment for hair), and did one more combing in morning, althought there wasn't much left after first combing. It has been months now and she's FINALLY lice free with no re-infestation since the treatment using this comb! God, what a relief!!! What I realize is, all other combs weren't simply catching all the eggs/nits/tiny newly hatched lice, which was the problem. No matter what treatment you decided to use (although I suggest all natural) a very thorough combing to catch the eggs/nits is crucial! And this comb is the only one that works at grabbing and taking out everything, hence you won't then have future breakout in week or two. Don't waste your time and money with any other combs, they aren't designed like this one! I wish I would have used this one in the first place. Would've saved a lot of money, stress, time, and my child suffering. I can see why the professional lice/nit removal places that charge $$$ use this product. A+ review from me!

Facts!! Super Lice are a real thing. The nits are so small that they can barely be detected!! Condition your hair and while it is on, comb through hair!! Works great.

Friends, I was once like you. Frantically reading product review after review, searching for the magical solution to my sudden lice problem. Search no further. Does this have electricity that will kill lice? No it doesn't. Does this have pesticide in the teeth to kill lice? Nope, not at all. Does this have teeth so close together, and so perfectly grooved that absolutely nothing will escape? DING DING DING! Stop scratching your head and order it. It's only $10. You're going to spend more on lotions and potions that you'll end up returning to the local walmart, than you will on this comb, and this is the only thing you'll need. I will tell you why just as soon as you order. Go! Order it right now, and then come back to read my sparkling review, k? (you ordered it, right?) Ok, here goes: Friday afternoon at pickup, I noticed a nit on a strand of my daughters hair. I looked closer, and can now see several. Upon even closer inspection, I can no longer deny it. This child has lice. Feces! *please don't let the little one have it, please don't let the little one have it* chants through my mind as my other child, the curly headed one, skips toward me from kindergarten. I lean in for a look... oh. my. lord. The older one CAUGHT it from the little one (I can tell, because on a scale of 1-to-HOLY CRAP, the older child is a one and the baby is about a 4) After I pick myself off the ground, we head to the pharmacy. So much to choose from! What is a mom to do? I stand there, confusedly trying to decide between Nix and Rid, Store brand and Lice Freee (total waste of money, by the way. The "active ingredient" Naturum muriaticum, is a fancy name for salt! $9 for a sprayable bottle of salt, thankyouvery much.. and yes, of course I bought it). I settle on absolutely every version, deciding to make my decision at home where I can be more comfortable in my neuroses. If you're like me, this is your first foray into the world of lice. Well, this is technically my second. When my oldest came home from the second grade with a louse and a few nits, I did what any self respecting mother would do - I shaved his head down to nothing and didn't bother with it. We call her Elvira) *Lice have three life stages, and to effectively eliminate lice, you must attack them at all of their life stages. *Nymphs (baby lice) and Eggs have no CNS - Central Nervous System. Since pesticides work by attacking the CNS of an adult louse, guess who doesn't die from pesticide shampoo? Can you guess? I bet you can! EGGS/NITS and Nymphs! You're so smart, I knew you could do it. Now grab up one of the hundreds of bottles of lice shampoo you've already purchased and read on there somewhere about how you don't have to remove the nits, and how this kills Lice AND Eggs so children can return to school faster.. THEY'RE LYING. The absolute ONLY WAY to eliminate lice is by stopping them where they start - Nits Section off the hair, get it wet and use some conditioner, and start combing. Comb until you think you can comb no longer, and then comb again. I'm not going to advocate against using the pesticides, but you HAVE to use a quality nit comb if you want this problem gone. I've read countless stories on the internet about cases of lice that just wont go away. I wonder if maybe it's because they're killing the adults and not bothering to remove the eggs that will be adults in just a few short weeks? Maybe? Come on guys, this is common sense. Remove the problem, and the problem no longer exists. This comb will help you do that. Now, I have to say, you're in for the heavy lifting. Just as there are no magical pills or sprays to lose weight, there are no magical pills or sprays to lose lice. You have to comb. You have to sit there and comb the ever loving crap out of your precious little snowflakes hair until it is FABULOUS and Lice free, but the results are immediate and lasting. Afterward, I recommend combing once a week until you're convinced. My children came home with lice one week ago, and yesterday at their second combing check, there wasn't so much as an empty nit casing. Infestation to Lice free in one evening. Still clear 7 days later.

This is the best lice comb ever and you should get it. Let me paint a picture for you. I had moved to a new town to start college and got my first apartment. I started babysitting a neighbor's 5 year old for extra cash, she would come over and spend all day playing with me. A week went by I started itching and guess what, the little girl had lice. Now I had just moved into this apartment and I didnt have a vacumm, a washer or dryer, I didnt even have a table yet. But I walked (no car) down to Rite-Aid and bought some lice shampoo, a fancy and expensive Rid comb and some house spray. 3 months later I still had lice. I had been able to get it somewhat under control. As long as when I came home from school I would jump into the shower, wash my head with vinegar and then spend an hour combing the little suckers out. Now I had done a lot to get rid of these critters but they are relenting. I had bagged up all my things, trying to sufficate them. I bought a vacumm and would constantly vacumm my house. I have draged all my laundry down to the coin-op countless times and bleached my clothes. I did everything. After a while I realized it was the expensive lice comb that was the problem. It would get most of the nits out but I could tell that it didnt do the job completely. Also if a nit got stuck between the prongs/bristles I would have to get a needle and scrape them out. So I started looking online and I found this comb, I thought whats 10 more dollars and got it. It arrived 4 days later and I'm telling you it was 10 dollars well spent. When you comb your hair you can feel it working and then (this is my favorite part) THE NITS SIT ON TOP OF THE COMB!!! No more scraping them out with a needle! You can just wash it. I'm telling you, if you have lice and you need help getting them out, get this comb.

The Nit Free Terminator Lice Comb works great in conjunction with the alternative ListerineStrandMethod (using listerine and white vinegar, then hand removing any pests with the nit comb working in very small sections). The best way to treat naturally is to prep the hair by sectioning hair in twists and then saturating hair and scalp with Original Formula LISTERINE (yes the mouthwash), and cover hair overnight (8hours) with a plastic conditioner cap- and then cover with towel or scarf- this will allow the pests to be suffocated as some can hold their breath up to 8hours! After 8hours, carefully remove the conditioner cap-you might see some dead bugs/nits, then rinse hair and spray/apply generous amounts of plain distilled white-vinegar to the hair and scalp and cover with a new plastic conditioner cap for 1-2 hours before rinsing and shampooing hair thoroughly with liquid Castile soap of choice and then apply generous amounts of conditioner mix to hair and detangle with wide tooth comb in sections before going through with the Terminator nit comb-- until entire head is done. then massage coconut oil infused with tea tree oil and clove oil onto hair and scalp- if lice are present repeat nit-removal process with Listerine every 3-4 days for 3months. It takes months to develop a lice infestation, so it will take a few months to eradicate-- And even if no lice are present, repeat entire process once weekly as a preventative/precaution. To prepare oil blend: place 1tbsp of TeaTree essential oil + 1/4 tsp Clove essential oil in 1-cup Organic unrefined Cold-Pressed Coconut Oil (melted) and massage throughout scalp following treatment with nit-comb removal. many ayurvedic therapies involve the use of essential oils to kill parasitic mites, etc.. In 2010 Australian researchers (C. Pasay, et, al.) showed that essential clove oil was able to successfully kill mites, etc. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2920318/ Used properly, this technique can work for all hair/skin types, ethnicities, etc. When there was a lice warning at the school where my niece attends,her mom used this metal nit-free comb as a precaution. Her daughter is mixed with very long very very thick kinky-curly hair, so I honestly didn't think this type of device would work for big hair types at all. But, using the ListerineStrandMethod -she very carefully prepped the hair by sectioning first sectioned her hair in small twists allover her head with 1-inch part space, and after following the instructions for applying the Listerine and then the White vinegar, etc, and shampooing out (and after applying heavy amounts of conditioner mix to saturate the hair), she then carefully went through the hair working from nape to back of head to sides to top to front, with each twist one at a time-being further divided into two-to-four even smaller sections, and prepped by gently detangling with a wide tooth comb and finetooth comb before adding more conditioner mix and carefully running the Terminator comb through the micro-sections within the section to check and remove any foreign objects or nits, etc.. and re-twisting the section when done and putting a colored hair-friendly elastic at the end of each completed twist section- It took some time, but it worked well. And doing it that way greatly reduced tearing that many people with very thick or highly textured hair types have experienced as the nit combs don't easily pass through very thick, textured hair types, so it has to be done in super small sections, which actually makes for an even thorough treatment which can be applied to looking for nits, mites, or other pests that might reside in the hair. Overall the metal Nit Free Terminator Lice Comb is definitely worth having and makes a great preventative investment for parents of young children, college students, and travelers who have frequent hotel stays (especially as mites, lice and other pests don't discriminate... I am not one to write reviews, but for this item I must. Lice are near the top of my list of phobias and I had happily avoided encountering them in the previous fifteen years of parenthood until this past week when my three year old brought them home. I quickly ran out to the nearest drug store to buy shampoo treatment and while I was there I saw the RobiComb which I added to my purchase because lice is something that I am more than happy to throw everything including the kitchen sink at to eradicate. That first day I combed through my daughter’s hair with the RobiComb and, as advertised, it seemed to comb out and shock the more mature lice, but I was still seeing nits which I tried to remove with my nails. However, a three year old can only hold still for so long and thus success was severely limited. Due to this failure I got on Amazon and found this comb which looked to be just what I was imagining in my head to be the solution...closer tines with grooves. I quickly ordered it to be delivered ASAP. I then treated her head with Nix as per the directions. Followed by a quick sweep of her hair with the comb provided by Nix. The next day I did a far more thourogh combing with the provided Nix comb and removed quite a lot of newly hatched lice and a couple larger ones that the RobiComb (or I) missed the previous day, but I still saw the nits. Finally, the much anticipated Nit Free Terminator Lice Comb arrived and I immediately sat down with my daughter entertained by a tablet to comb her hair. This removed the nits. Thank you, thank you, thank you! As I worked through her hair the nits slid out easily and the brush’s tines were simple to clear by zipping my finger along them under water. The extra fine baby hairs along my daughters forehead took slightly more effort to ensure all nits were removed, but this comb was able to get them. I don’t know how effective the shampoo treatment was, but with the addition of this comb I think we can beat these invaders. A note on the RobiComb. Others seem quite happy with its removal of the larger lice and feel that it catches them before they are able to lay eggs, regardless I would prefer to get the nits too. As to the shock value of the comb, that does perform as expected though upon reflection I’m not sure of the usefulness of such a feature. So long as the louse is out of the hair and flushed down the sink I don’t care if it is dead first. The only positive I can see is that when I ran it through my own hair I didn’t need to constantly stop to check if something was on the tines as I could hear it happily humming along...the sound stops when something (a louse, snarl, dandruff touches two or more tines at once). A recommendation. Whatever comb you do decide on will be made much easier to use with the addition of the large professional hair styling clips to help section and separate the hair.

This is kind of long, but I felt like I wanted to share my story ..My daughter has very long hair..(.as you can see in the picture)...and awhile ago I was looking at it and thinking of how much of a nightmare it would be if she had lice...and then my nightmare came true. I didn’t want to use the medicated products because years ago, I used it on both of my daughters. There were a couple of problems with it...I used it and then started to comb through and this will give you shivers...they were on my pants and also crawling up my arm. This was a bad mom moment for me because I didn’t notice til they were completely infested with them. I found them while I was blow drying one of their hair and they were jumping ship from the heat. Also, it was so toxic, that one of them vomited later that day. I would suggest to anyone with this problem to never ever use it. So back to now... Even with conditioner, the lice combs would get tangled not even half way down her hair, and worst of all,I could see the eggs go right through the comb. It was so frustrating . I tried 2 different combs and they were both the same...no eggs.. I tried picking them out and it would definitely work, if I wanted to sit there for several hours. The natural shampoo that I found here on Amazon (i’m not sure if I can use the name) worked pretty well but there was just too much hair. Dead lice would wash out and everything but some got missed. We have been dealing with this off and on for a few months. She would think she was done with them then...here we go again. Then in steps the nit and lice Terminator. My daughter found it on here on Amazon and the reviews were great so I had her order it, and the next day, the package was by my door( ❤️ Amazon). The Terminator is a Godsend. It took us about an hour and a half through that jungle of hair and I think we got them all. With conditioner, this comb didn’t get stuck hardly at all. It was so satisfying to see all of those little nasty (I want to call them much worse) parasites all stuck in the Terminator. It made us want to keep going to see how much came out. It got everything..adult lice, nymphs and eggs. When it first got here, we were going to test it out on a little spot, but when we saw how much came out on one comb through, we kept going. It made the job kind of fun (if you could ever have fun combing out lice) because we would check to see if there were any adults on there and squash them until they died. It was so nasty because you could squish them and still see there gross little legs squirming. Now after this long story... from mom to mom (or dad)...purchase this comb, you won’t regret it.
