It was super easy to install, I just drilled the 3/8" holes in a 5-gallon bucket using the included drill bit, attached the cups with the rubber seals and wing nuts, and it was ready to go in minutes. Even for someone who isn’t super handy, it’s very straightforward. The leakproof design actually works. The rubber seals create a tight fit and I haven’t had any issues with dripping or wasted water. The cups refill automatically and keep a steady water level, which saves me so much time compared to constantly refilling traditional waterers. I also love the size of the cups, they’re large enough for my chickens to comfortably dip their wattles, and they would definitely work well for ducks too. The material feels sturdy and durable, and I appreciate that it’s made from high-quality, weather-resistant PP plastic. For some reason, either my chickens aren’t smart enough, or they just haven’t gotten thirsty enough to drink from regular poultry nipples. These installed easily on an old tidy cats litter bucket, and the chickens have no problem using them. They do need cleaned out once a week or so, but they collect a lot less dirt and are much easier to clean than the tray that surrounds the barrel. I love that they don’t leak and you can put them on pretty much any size container you want. My ducks can use them as well, without getting as much muck in the water.

We got these automatic chicken waterer cups a few days ago and so far they have been great. At least half the birds are using them already and they are acting exactly as they should. They automatically refill as the water is consumed. You can also tell easily when the bucket has emptied as the cups will spring up, shifting from a horizontal plane to vertical. The kit comes with everything you need to install 6 of them, including a drill bit for the hole. They are super quick and easy to set up and install. They aren’t what I would call heavy duty by any means so you need to be a little careful when handling the bucket once they have been installed. It is really nice to have a water source for the chickens that the ducks have no interest in. This is keeping the water a lot cleaner for the chickens. All in all we are very happy with these and will be recommending them to our chicken keeping neighbors.

You can mount them on buckets, barrels, or PVC setups, making them easy to adapt to almost any coop or run. The cups themselves appear fairly sturdy. Our chicks took to them quickly. Maintenance is minimal, refilling is less frequent, and water stays noticeably cleaner compared to traditional open containers. My only complaint is that they do but come with any instructions, and while it seems straightforward, I mounted the first 2 too low in the bucket. They depend on the weight of the water to keep the cups down and restrict the water from pouring out. When I'm filling the bucket, they touch the ground and the water seeps out.. This isn't an issue in the run necessary I have it up on a stand, but if you plan on placing these directly in the ground, make sure you mount them high enough so that they are an inch above the ground.
