Best blue pens. Ever!!! I love to write by hand and these are so smooth and bold. Price makes them an excellent value. Will be buying more!

Best of ink and rollerball pen in one
First off, it has a cap you must remove and replace. For some folks that may be less appealing than a click. My ink is black. Super smooth writing on almost any surface. Ink flows evenly. No little blobs that smear and ruin your work then make you throw out the pen. Copies and faxes well. Very comfortable for my normal man hands. No negatives in my experience. Agree with the many positive reviews.

Best pens money can buy
The Uni-ball Jetstream pen is a great writing instrument that offers a smooth and consistent writing experience. The pen's hybrid ink technology combines the quick-drying properties of a ballpoint pen with the smoothness of a rollerball, resulting in a pen that writes with ease and leaves a clean, sharp line. The ink is water-resistant and smudge-proof, making it ideal for everyday use, including journaling, note-taking, and even drawing.

Cheap plastic barrel - superbly smooth ink cartridge
Not the most satisfying barrel to hold and grip. Too light, overly plastic, and lacks an easy natural grip. So it feels cheap - UNTIL you start to write with it. Then the high quality ink cartridge shows off with smooth, effortless writing. A terrific ink cartridge - in a cheap, plastic barrel.

smooth and non-smearing
I write a lot of things each day--meeting notes, reminders, studying notes, etc. So I want a pen that will write well on ALL surfaces without feeling like I'm dragging a toothpick across a piece of paper. To give you an idea of how much I like smooth writing pens, I would prefer using a fountain pen for all my writing. But alas, certain types of paper aren't amenable to fountain pen ink. I have searched for a pen with the following criteria: 1) The pen must write smoothly. (I'm not expecting "fountain-pen" smoothness, but that's where I'm coming from). 2) The pen must write on most (if not all) types of paper and be able to dry quickly. 3) The pen must be affordable. 4) The pen must write a thin enough line for me to use (ie I don't like writing with markers or sharpies). Suffice it to say that the Uniball Jetstream stick bold point met ALL of the aforementioned criteria. With regard to #3, I happened upon a good deal that allowed me to purchase 12 pens for $9. I alternate between 2 of these pens and I haven't finished one yet (it's been 6 mos).

Crushed boxes.
Pens are great, but packaging is crushed. Pens all the place. The boxes must be properly secured to prevent this.

These pens glide across the page in such a satisfying way that you might catch yourself thinking 'I totally don't regret spending $30 on pens, a thing I could have just spent like $4 on.' What can I say of these pens. The ink rolls on the page as slickly as butter onto a hot biscuit, the pen rests in one's hand as comfortably as newborn babe at it's mother's bosom. I love these pens, or rather I did, that is, until the rubber grip on each and every one of them became loose and would no longer adhere to the pen. Repeated capping and uncapping of the pen results in this over time. In a way it makes the Uni-ball jetstream's grip into a ungrip... a not grip... It makes the pen very hard to hang onto. Put it that way. Mayhap my capping and uncapping was excessive, but I was in college at the time and used my pen a fairly good amount. overall, they get a 3/10 from me.

So I've been using these pens for close to four years now. I first got them not long after I opened my own law firm. I think they were on sale at Staples so I picked up a 3 pack of the blue 1.0 pull off cap jetstream pens. I loved it. It writes so smoothly. Originally I only meant to use it for signatures since there's something in the ink that makes it easy to identify that this is a uniball jetstream pen, and I figured if I always use one type of pen for my signatures then it would go to credibility if someone forged my signature with the wrong kind of pen (you know, lawyer paranoia stuff). I loved it so much it became my standard office pen. I got the 0.7 capped ones for my assistant, since she likes a thinner line, and I also picked up the jetstream click pens in blue, black and red (all 1.0, I believe). I love them all. Personally, I don't use the black ones much (blue ink makes it easy to tell at a glance which is the original and which is the photocopy). The red writes well and the colour pops. I like the boldness of the 1.0 sized lines and find it gives a certain weightt o it. I prefer the capped pens to the click top ones. The click tops have a fatter handling area than the capped pens do. This is in part because the capped pens taper nearer the tip in order to accommodate the cap. The clicky pens don't have that issue, so they remain large. It's not a huge difference, but these pens are already a good bit wider than the standard pens you tend to deal with day to day (like those crappy BIC ones). I just find it more comfortable with the capped pens. Unfortunately, my clients don't seem able to figure out that a pen can still have a cap on it, and so I usually see them twisting the caps or trying to click a clicky top that isn't there, because that's just what they're used to. Admittedly, it's an older school type of thing, but I like that about it. The only down side with this product is how friggen expensive it is! Even more so due to the tariffs that were put in place. It irks me because of how much I love these pens. But I still just break every now and then and need more of them. Obviously, if I'm willing to keep paying for them, I must like them a good bit, and I do! These pens are so good I've even had clients comment at random about how good they are after using them, and more than a few of them have "accidentally" walked off with them (Another reason I have to keep buying more). I'm planning on doing some personal branding down the line and I hope that Uniball has some sort of customizable but classy variant of this pen. I mean, as great as t he pen/gripping material is, the real magic is the ink, so I wouldn't mind a slightly changed body. But I really really want them as customizable pens! I'd slap my firm logo all over that thing!
