Just Nice In Every Way!
Our kitchen faucet has been a piece of junk for years. No water flow, usually leaked when turned off, developed a leak at the base, at the bottom of the swivel. So, we shopped hard. I brought the wife back here and we shopped together. She wanted a pull down faucet because our daughter has one. I definitely didn't want a Price-Pfister this time. It was about as easy to install as it could have been. Getting the old faucet out was actually harder. The one snag was our fault. Our (under sink) water filter's kind of a piece of junk, too. It has one of those retarded saddle clamps. You install that over the water line and the first time you turn it off, it punches a hole in your water line. It never did leak, but I had to go to the hardware store and play musical fittings. I had to come up with a T fitting with male on one end, female on the other end and a different size on the third leg. I ended up needing two fittings and a short piece of copper tubing and one extra nut and compression fitting. Had it not been for that, this would have been a breeze! The fittings on the hot and cold supply lines(on this faucet) don't use compression sleeves; they use rubber grommets. MUCH better!! The pull down hose connects to another hose coming out the bottom of the faucet. This was so ingenious! It literally snaps together! You just push the two hoses together and it's connected! (There's a spring loaded release mechanism so it can be taken back apart.) It's held down on the center hole by a nut. Moen provided a plastic tool with a different size on each end. You put the right end over the nut and put a screwdriver through the hole at the other end and tighten it firmly. The base plate they give you covers the other sink holes on a three hole sink. You're done! It's massive, impressive, and pretty gorgeous! We chose the stain resistant stainless steel one and it matches our sink perfectly and looks kind of "futuristic". The head has a very free moving swivel. On the head there's a flip button | lever that changes it from stream to spray. It goes back to stream by itself when you turn it off. It also has a button that adds water pressure when you push it. It also returns to less water when you turn the faucet off. The lever must go on the right side, the instructions say. It's installed and assembled and the whole thing with the lever drops into the sink. To use it, you move the lever to the right to turn it on and you rotate it up for hot or down for cold; it moves 90 degrees. The pull down function is real nice. They provide you with a weight that snaps onto the pull down hose, which is under the sink. Ours gets slightly stuck on a dishwasher drain hose. I need to get back under there some day and just move that hose out of the way. If it weren't for that, it would be perfectly smooth and perfect. DO NOT get the soap dispenser you can purchase with it on its page. There's another on made by Kraus that's much better. The nozzle is much longer and solves the problem of soap all over the counter and sink that many reviewers complain about with the shorter nozzle. It held an entire 22.6 ounce bottle of Dawn when we filled it, even though the docs say 17 ounce capacity. It went into the hole in the back right corner of the sink that we had left over from the sprayer that was part of the old faucet. And, though I was worried, it had absolutely no problem fitting next to the sink bowl underneath, which is another problem reviewers complained about. Just couldn't really be more pleased! It's a stiff price, but anything stainless steel is. The old "You get what you pay for" thing. Moen Sleek One Handle kitchem fawcet
This is a very high quality fixture. I bought a slightly used fixture that had a small scratch on the back side. The bags of hardware in the kit had not been opened so aside from the small scratch. it was a new, unused fixture. All parts fit together well and it took about one hour to remove the old fixture and install this one. Water stream excellent, easy to control and adjust. I like the sleek, simple apearance. Just need to put a small dab of black metal paint and I will be done.

Nice, but flawed
So, we’ve had this faucet for one and half years. It’s very nice and I really love it! HOWEVER, there seems to be a design flaw. When the batteries die you can no longer get water from the faucet until you replace the batteries. You CANNOT manually turn on your water at your kitchen sink. Therefore you have to take everything out from under the sink and crawl back there and replace the batteries to restore water. Uggggghhhh I get that it needs batteries for the touch feature but whhhhhyyyyyy can’t it still work manually? Seems like a design flaw to me.

Stunning and working
Although it takes almost a month to get it, the faucet is stunning and working well. Attention: if you have a cat that can get close to the faucet, beware your cat will set motion sensor to run water. Good news, this faucet runs motion censored water for limited time only. How do i know it? I cook and wash dishes a lot. When i used motion sensors without touching the faucet to wash dishes it turns off in about two minutes. And yes, for motion sense to work you need batteries.

Poor performance for most people
I'm not sure how this got so many good reviews. Maybe mine is defective, but I don't think so. I'll update my post after I hear back from Moen. I've used this for well over a year, so this isn't some knee-jerk reaction to it. Here are the issue I have with it, from not-so-bad to worse. This is a long post, so read from my issues from last to first, unless you're interested in every detail. At the very end, I'll state who this might be good for. === ISSUES === 1) INTUITION (a non-issue for me) I personally don't have the slightest issue here, but my girlfriend does so it's worth noting in case you're in her camp. Here's the scenario that seems to confuse her. a) the handle is in the off position, b) she walks up and motions the faucet on, c) the faucet comes on full force, d) she wants to turn the flow rate down, e) but the handle is already at zero flow rate, f) so she's confused because to turn the flow rate down you have to move the handle to a higher flow rate, g) and she wants me to rip it out over this. My thinking is that if you want to control the water from the handle, then don't worry about where the handle is, just move the handle to the position you want it at. Admittedly, if the automation also moved the handle, that would be more intuitive. Making that cost-effective and reliable is probably not possible. I'd bet Moen made the right design choice here. 2) DEFAULT FLOW RATE (very minor to me) When using motion control to turn on the faucet (or voice control, if you simply say "turn on..."), it always comes at full flow. If there's a bowl or spoon in the right location, water will go everywhere. Other folks have commented on this, but it's low on my list for two reasons. a) When I turn on the water from the handle, I tend to go full flow anyway. b) This is a software thing that they could improve. I wouldn't count on them adding a default flow rate configuration, but one can hope they will. In theory you can voice control to turn it on at a given flow rate, but that's slower not as practical as waving your hand over the motion sensor. 3) TEMPERATURE LIMIT (very minor to me) The temperature of the water is limited to 120 degrees to prevent scalding (not a bad idea), but there is no ability to override that limit. My shower valve has a stop to prevent scalding, but you can press a button to get past the stop. There are times when I want scalding hot water, but it isn't an option with this faucet. Perhaps, since this software controlled, that's not a bad call for safety. Or maybe the cost of adding a physical override would add too much cost. But this thing is expensive and I would expect at least as much functionality as any cheap faucet. I learned to live with it. 4) NON-CONTINUOUS VALVES - NON-CONTINUOUS DISPENSED TEMPERATURE (minor to me) The flow control of valves is not continuous. (For all you engineers, if it had enough discrete positions, it's close enough to continuous. It does not.) Here's why that's a problem: The dispensed temperate and flow rate is determined by how far open the hot and cold water valves are. Since they only open at a finite number of flow rates, there are only a finite number of dispensed temperatures. If you want the temperature just a little cooler or warmer, you can't do it. I don't need a lot of different temperatures, so it's not a big issue for me, but it is occasionally a small issue for me. 5) NON-CONTINOUS VALVES - NON-CONTINUOUS DISPENSED FLOW RATE (major to me) Sometimes I just wanted a trickle of water, or thin stream, and since the valves can't be set to any position, I often couldn't get the flow rate I needed. That frustrated me more than I would have thought. You take it for granted that kitchen faucets can do this. This one cannot. Between the dispensed flow rate and temperature not being continuous, I have a big issue with this faucet. But it gets worse. 6) BAD CONTROL LOOP - UNPREDICTABLE FLOW RATE (major) I suspect this is actually related to temperature, which I'll discuss next, but the consequence is that even if you get the flow rate dialed in close enough to what you want, it will suddenly change. For example, you get a thin stream of water going, and suddenly the flow increases, then goes back to a thin stream, and it keeps cycling like this. This might not seem like a major issue, but there were times (I wish I could remember the scenarios) where I was really frustrated because I couldn't get a steady stream of water. 6) BAD CONTROL LOOP - UNPREDICTABLE TEMPERATURE (CRITICAL!!!!) Partly because of the valves being non-continuous, but also due to really bad software, this scenario happens: a) I turn on the hot water (120 degrees), b) it's too hot for my hands to be in it for long, so I turn the temperature down a bit, c) the temperature goes down, d) I put my hands in the water and go about my business, e) scalding hot water suddenly starts flowing out. I'm not talking 120. I keep my hot water tank pretty hot and it starts flowing at full hot on my already hot hands. VERY PAINFUL AND DANGEROUS! === WHY DID I BUT IT? === I didn't even want the voice control. My requirements were #1 it had to match my kitchen decor #2 it only had a motion sensor on the top #3 if my hands were dirty I could turn it on hands free, even if it was previously turned off manually. This was the only thing that met my criteria. I was willing to pay the premium price. === WHAT I DID === I lived with it for a long time, begrudgingly because I was hoping there would be a software fix for the temperature control loop, and I didn't want to concede that I spent so much money on such a bad faucet. None came. Between all the issues, and my girlfriend constantly complaining about it, I yanked it out. It's too late to return it, and I won't even donate it to an unsuspecting victim. I spent a lot on this poorly designed thing (I got the AC adapter with it). It's been replaced. For the small fortune I parted with, I now have 1) a cheap faucet without motion control that matches my decor even better, and 2) a bunch of stuff that will probably make its way to a landfill. I feel really stupid and guilty. === WHO WOULD WANT THIS? === 1) Someone with a limitation that would benefit from the voice control (although I can't think of a limitation where you are able to use the sink but are unable to use the faucet) 2) AND they are willing to keep their hot water tank at 120 degrees so that this thing doesn't scald them 3) AND they can live with all the other issues I listed

Very nice
Love this faucet. My wife loves this faucet too. Made me look good for getting it for her. Very nice n very simple to install. I like the touch less better than the touch faucets

Purchased this faucet after my motion sensor old faucet died. This faucet is great, the motion sensor is in a location to the side so you don't accidently trigger the faucet. Installation was really simple, and the batteries are separate from the sensor control box and can be mounted in a more convenient location, making changing battery's much easier than other brands! Another great feature I like is that you can disable the motion sensor by simply holding your hand in from my of the sensor, instead of needing to go under the cupboard to the control box. All around a great faucet and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a hands free faucet!

Only had it for a couple weeks, but so far it Works beautifully. The gold is pretty strong considering all of our handles are a lighter gold, but it just means the faucet looks like a main feature. Love the motion sensor - so important for me, as I bake cakes

Replaced an older cheap faucet as well as the sink in the kitchen. The difference between faucets is amazing. The new Moen looks great and so far functions really well. Smooth operation and the stream is excellent. A little pricey but seems to be worth it. I would recommend it.

Was not a DIY installation, at least not for me. Once installed, the motion sensor worked great. The App and connection to WIFI/Alexa was a little more challenging but persistence paid off. Looks great.
