Fantastic pencils :). Tin case needs improvement.
Packaging: Seller(MSGH)/Amazon needs to improve the packaging for such costly/fragile items. It came with just the Amazon bag without any additional cardboard, etc for support due to which it was bent at few places. Luckily the pencils were not damaged. Pros: (reference : Orange peel drawing) 1) Nice colors (24 set good price. @1690/- seller MSGH). Lays down very well on paper. 2) Blends nicely with Baby oil (Johnson's) 3) Layers very well if paper is good or we can use oils to blend in-between and layer over it repeatedly. 4) Works well over watercolour or other pencils like Derwent Coloursoft. 5) Set of 24, if mixed as combo of every 2 pencils can produce good range of colours as seen in the attached chart. Cons: (Attached pics for bent tin) 1) Tin is very flimsy as noted by lot of others which doesn't help during shipping. But build quality is good since surface is very smooth without sharp edges. 2) White color is not very pigmented (compared to Coloursoft) but works for blending or when used with another colour. Note: Though I own the Derwent Coloursofts (favourite) and Artists (less pigmented, difficult to work) , I wanted to try something different before trying out the "Costly in India" Prismacolors eventually and I wasn't disappointed with the Polychromos. Definitely recommended 👍

Detailed review of polychromos
It is almost a year when I got my self Faber castel polychromos 24 coloured pencils set . I searched ,compared these pencils from every brand even prisma colours in You Tube , Google and every possible place even Instagram , the only thing I can say is it is worth the price . The quality of the pencil is soo soo good the wood the lead , even if the pencil is fallel down from a hi8 the lead is not broke , the lead is strong pointed even though you are sharpening it , it doesn't damage the lead much aur the outer wood , if you are applying too much pressure to make some area dark it is perfectly fine with the lead it doesn't break . The pigment is soo amazing it gives the natural colour , natural shade and hyper realistic drawing, I didn't used blender in my pencil paintings. I never worked on coloured portraits before , I made my first coloured portrait of my mom and dad first time using these pencils and these were amazing , I gifted them on their anniversary and they loved it ❤️ . If you are confused to buy , don't think too much buy it . If you want to make portraits buy light flesh or medium flesh separately because flesh colours are not included in 24 colour set .

One of the best color pencils set
The Faber-Castell Polychromos Color Pencil Set are professional artist grade color pencils. It has a very soft core which can be managed easily in sketching and coloring. They are made to blend beautifully and are thus a top choice for colored pencil artists. The colors are easy to mix and the result are great. The waxes in them are high quality, making blend-ability on the paper so much easier, as well as color transitioning. The pigment can be diluted (paint thinners) and by using soft bristle brush, can be used like water color especially on areas you wanted having vanishing effects I've used many types of colored pencils and these are, by far, the best on the market for the price. The color pencils are break resistance (due to the secure bonding process these pencils are exceptionally break-proof) They are smooth and comfortable while drawing (a very soft and comfortable feeling during drawing and painting) The core is thicker and feels softer (3.8 mm oil-based). Highly pigmented, unsurpassed light fastness and acid-free. Water-resistant and smudge-proof. It delivers colors smoothly. It is easy on the wrist.

ITS AMAZING!
This is great! I could tell by reading all the reviews, though its expensive its totally worth it! it was well packaged and so nice for blending and layering, their also high quality, durable , and has great lightfast even the 24 set has a good range of colors, though I would say there are little skin tones, but its nice for a beginners, GO FOR IT!

Recommended by professional artists. For a very good reason.
This is good for intricate details for portrait drawings. Sharper details. Less waxy / creamy than similar brands. I found the waxiness more consistent across the shades unlike in some similar brands. The colour intensity is less and I had to learn to fill in the colours well to get the depth of colours.

Best pencils I've used
The most brilliantly pigmented set of color pencils I've used, I actually find them better and easier to use than either prismacolors or colorsoft. They hold sharp tips and make details beautifully, something I found difficult to achieve with wax pencils. The polychromos also break far less often, you can feel the premium quality of the wood casing as you hold the pencils. Would recommend to anyone confused between these and wax pencils, this is a much better value for money than the prismas.

Good product, but it gets 9/10 because of minor dent on the box which also does not close properly.
Recieved the set of 24 Faber-Castell Polychromos Colour Pencils today. Delivery was on time, and I have tried out the pencils and my opinion is that they are really very good, eventhough I am not an expert artist with experience of using different types of pencils. The reason I gave 9 out of ten is because of a minor dent on the tin, which also does not snap close properly on one side. Since the pencils are of supirior quality and are quite expensive, I expected a perfect product without any flaws. So the product gets 9/10 from me.

Love these pencils. The best I have purchased so far, just wish I could afford the biggest set. Far too expensive to purchase here in Australia.

Absolutely amazing pencils. I have tons of colorer pencils from cheap sets to expensive sets, prismas, derwent, kalour you name it, and the Polychromos and by far my favorite. I don't like really soft pencils I like a little harder pencils thats easier to color small details and these are great for that. They lay color so nicely and they feel amazing in my hand. If you're on the fence about buying them, I highly recommend buying them. You'll be looking to buy all of them
