Exactly what I wanted!
This is exactly what I wanted. I have a cordless phone system in my house hooked up to my UVerse phone system, but the cordless is useless in a power outage. I wanted a backup phone. This is a two-line phone that is easily wall-mounted, powered by the telephone wiring so it will work in a power outage. No lights on numbers, but since this is on telco lines powered by the UPS on my UVerse, that's what I wanted; absolutely minimum current draw. The ringer is a bit loud, but that's not a problem as it lives in the kitchen. Another reviewer posted that line one and line two are reversed; I did not find this so. I think her wiring hookup is backwards. Phone works great on both lines, is easy to hear. The only negative (and it's really minor) is that the red light on the phone does not respond to telco voicemail. Apparently it's for hotel messaging systems. Also, note that the only cable supplied is the coiled cord from handset to base. If you need a short line cable to wall mount this (or a regular line cord to run from the phone to the wall connector), you need to order one separately.

Almost perfect, but not quite
I wanted a Trimline style phone for our bedroom, and it's very hard to find 2 line versions in that style, particularly with buttons in the handset. Those that exist all seem to be 'hospitality phones' for use in hotel rooms, as is the case with this one. There are three features missing from this phone. The first is caller ID, but that is not too important to me. What IS important is the ability to turn off the ringer, and that cannot be done with this phone. It only has a Lo and Hi setting, which really means loud and louder! The manufacturer says that is intentional so that hotel guests can't turn off the ringer and miss a wakeup call, but I figure that is the guest's responsibility. I always turn hotel phone ringers down as far as possible, and completely off when I can. If I want a wakeup call I turn the ringer on (and also set the clock radio in case they forget). After being awakened at 5AM by someone calling me, I took matters into my own hands and defeated the ringers entirely, but an OFF LO HI switch would be the proper answer to this issue. The phone has the push buttons in the handset (but not the line selector buttons), which was important to me, but the buttons are not lit. So while it may not be necessary to squirm around to look at the phone at night to dial, one would have to do so by feel with no lighted buttons.I gave it a middle rating because it does the basic job but because it is missing important features. It was impossible to find these details out before purchase, so if one wants to return the phone because of the lack of features, one is at least out the cost of shipping. I found it impossible to get information on all the features (and more importantly the missing ones) on any of the similar phones, either. So on the negative side. No ringer off switch. No caller ID. No backlit pushbuttons. No line selector on the handset. On the positive side. Pushbuttons in the handset. Two lines. Trimline style.

Nice
Looks like brand new, I ordered gold and was sent a pink phone. Didn’t complain cause I figured if I sent back and got a different one it might not be as nice looking. Came fast very happy otherwise.

2 Line Non-Electronic Telephone
This is a great value phone for emergency purposes. Telephone is powered by telephone wire; thus, telephone will work in power outage. Has 2 lines making it slightly more expensive than 1 line phone but will work off of L1/L2 wall telephone jack. Delivery timely. Worked out of the box. Does not have an intercom.
