can be made in more ways than just as a cereal
I have my Oatibix with oat milk which makes it a little tastier than with normal milk for me - a little sweeter. The biscuits soak up a lot of fluid and go really soft, so I tend to embrace that and mix the whole thing up into a cold thick-porridge consistency. For me it's a satisfying, comforting texture - the texture for me hits a similar comfort-food spot as mashed potatoes, rice pudding or porridge does. The flavour is nice too when you're in the mood for it - about a 4/5 on flavour. I've recently discovered another use for my Oatibix which I've been enjoying. When dry, the biscuits are nice and crispy, so I've discovered that by crumbling the biscuits and mixing them with chopped nuts, seeds and some tahini (or nut butter) and date-syrup to bind them, it makes a really nice and crispy non-bake healthy flapjack-type treat. The tahini and syrup don't make the oatibix soggy so it keeps it's natural crunch. Comes out very tasty!

Good price, much healthier than the wheat version as the oats contain beta glucans to help keep cholesterol in check

For the uninitiated, Oatbix are small bricks - roughly 3"x1.5"x.5" - of compacted oat flakes. They are very dry, and yield readily - you can crumble one into bits in your hand with little effort. You can eat them directly - I like to - and they resemble a much softer form of shredded wheat, but most people would find them too dry for this I think. Instead, you put 1-3 bricks into a bowl, add some milk, then break them up for consumption. I like Weetabix, and now I like Oatbix as well. If you like Weetabix, you will find the Oatbix a bit more oaty, naturally, and a bit more bland as a result. I like the oat flavor quite a bit, so this is right up my alley - in particular, it's like getting the oat flavor of oatmeal/rolled oats but in a softer, more digestible form. Personally, I prefer to not let it soak for for long - I find it gets a bit too porridge like then - but instead gently crumble up a couple bricks, pour the milk on, and eat it immediately while it still has some body. If you haven't tried any *bix, you might want to go for Weetabix first, as they have a bit more flavor to them, but these are also good. If you like wheat or bran cereal or cold oatmeal but find it a bit hard to chew through, this is a great alternative. In any case, it's worth giving a try. I've bought it before, and will likely do so again. Would recommend.

Although the product is just as expected in flavor, because it was mailed in a BUBBLE envelope!!, we got crumbs! Unacceptable- especially when other non crushable items sent from Amazon arrive in cardboard boxes with lots of air bags!

Ordered the product on 1/21/23, received it on 1/23/23 however the expiration date on the product is 1/12/23. According to the policy I’m not able to return or exchange. Will not be buying again. Update: looked at date again and realized I misread the date; I didn’t realize this was printed in European format. Product is great and arrived on-time. I’m updating my rating from 1 to 4.
