Is rear camera able to be used all the time instead of mirror?

Hi Micheal, the rear camera can be used all the time instead of mirror. First, when screen saver is on, it works as a normal rear view mirror. Second, after the rear camera be installed and connected to the dash cam mainbody, the rear image is 5 times larger than the ordinary rear view mirror. Cleaner and brighter image can be seen behind the car synchronously with less blind spot, which makes driving more safer.

If someone bumps your parked car in the rear, will it record in the parking mode?

Yes, it records rear collision video. In the parking mode, there are collision boot recording and lapse recording. No matter which mode is in, the device will record the front and rear shots at the same time. In collision boot recording, when the machine detects a collision, it will start the device recording, and the recording will be turned off after 30s. In lapse recording, it will continue to record 12/24h when parking.

How do you upgrade the firmware?

Dear customer, thanks for asking. The upgrading steps as follows Firstly, get the TF Card from the dash cam, Secondly, put the TF Card in a card reader, and insert the reader to a computer; Thirdly, drag the firmware into the TF card and insert back to camera when in OFF State. Lastly, restart the camera and it will update automatically. Before upgrading, please check the version of your dash cam on setting menu. Thank you. Does this mirror have clip-ons/grips to place over the original mirror? Is the rear cam bluetooth or wired?

The mirror comes with thick rubber bands (essentially) and integrated clips, so it's easy and secure to put over the original mirror. The rear cam is wired.

Great mirror dash cam

Great camera system. Easy to install. The instructions are very easy to follow. Works great. This is my second Wolfbox mirror dash camera. The first one I bought back in 2023 and fitted it myself. I sold that car that the first one was installed in and the new owners are very impressed and wanted it left in the vehicle.

Ottima dashcam. Per montarla sul un camper tenere conto dell'angolo di visualizzazione posteriore

Ottima Dashcam per quanto riguarda la qualità costruttiva e la qualità delle immagini. L’unico aspetto da tenere presente è l’angolo di ripresa della telecamera posteriore. E' dichiarato l’angolo orizzontale (140 gradi) ma non quello verticale. Dovendola installare su un camper volevo sostituire quella precedente montata in alto. In sintesi per avere una visuale posteriore sia della strada che del retro del mezzo arriva al massimo a 2 metri di distanza dal posteriore. Sicuramente non idonea per le manovre in retromarcia . Ho montato la telecamera in basso sopra la targa, così arriva a 50 cm dal posteriore. Ho consigliato al venditore di indicare in descrizione anche l’angolo visuale verticale. Se volete montarla su un camper spero che la mia esperienza vi sia utile. AGGIORNAMENTO: Ho modificato la recensione a 5 stelle in quanto il venditore mi ha contattato per comprendere il problema, ringraziandomi anche dei suggerimenti che gli ho fornito.
