I taught Home Ec (FACS) for 22 years. I was looking for a good cookbook for my 10 year old to start his own cooking journey. I had dozens of youth cookbooks in my classroom but really didn't love any of them, so I purchased this based on the number of 5 star reviews. We have been blown away by the quality of every recipe he's made!! Truly we've not found a "dud" yet! I love how easy they are to follow- down to the equipment list. I have not had to assist him at all and it has given him great confidence working in the kitchen! I can't say enough good things about this book!

I purchased this for my great nephew. I loved all the cooking info and tips included in this book and the recipes seem to be overall pretty healthy. I'm considering getting a book for myself because the recipes look really yummy.

So many cooking options for the young chef! Lots of receipts require only a few items! Very easy to read and understand for a newer cooking student

It's easy to read and totally helped to boost the confidence of my 9 year old chef. The chocolate cake and cookie recipes are our favs. I also use it as an adult.
