The luwaks eat the cherries, bean and all. While in the luwak's stomach the bean ferments, finishes it journey through the digestive system then exits. The still intact beans are collected from the forest floor, clean then roasted and ground like other coffees. The resulting coffee has a rich, heavy flavor with hints of caramel and chocolate.
