Hatch Restore 3 Sunrise Alarm Clock, Sound Machine, Smart Light (Cocoa) - White Noise, Screen-Free Sleep Routine

Very disappointing. The hardware is good but the app is unusable. There is a lot of potential in this product but they will only realise it when they throw out the current app and rebuild it with ease of use and flexibility in mind. Honestly this industry is begging for a competitor to come in and show us how this can be done well. Unfortunately Hatch is not that (yet? 🤞). I'd love to return my Hatch 3 and wait for that competitor, maybe they never come but this $200 disappointment is not bringing me any joy.

Absolutely LOVE my hatch alarm. I don’t regret it one bit! My only con is that the app lags.

I really love the aesthetics of this device, and the premise. I bought it knowing I didn't want to use the subscription but had watched a few reviews that said the included content was worth it even without getting the subscription. It is not. The best part of this device for me was building a nighttime routine that cued me via lights and sound, where I could gradually relax for sleep, and then transition into sleep sounds. You NEED the subscription for that function, and for any variety of the sounds. You can use this as a sunrise alarm clock without the subscription but the functionality and sound options are so limited I would not recommend. You're better off with a cheaper and less pretty sunrise alarm clock like the Philips one I used to use. Also, the app is not user friendly and you need it to set up and manage the device. The on device controls are not intuitive and limited. Adding to this the $229 price tag, I'm very sad but am returning this device.

I normally never review products but I genuinely could not live without my hatch alarm clock after getting it! My sleep quality has improved so much since I started using it! It is super easy to set up and it really is so much fun to play around with all the settings! The app is so easy to use and there are so many different options for lighting colors, sound effects, and setting alarms! I listen to pouring rain every single night while falling asleep and I sleep like the dead! Waking up is so much easier with it too, no more waking up frazzled and trying to find the right button to turn off your alarm in the dark! There’s one button for snoozing/ turning off your alarm and I wake up to relaxing music. You’re probably thinking oh gosh light music or nature sounds aren’t going to wake me up because I thought the same thing, but it actually works! I also enjoy going to sleep more now, I set a “bedtime” on my hatch alarm clock and it does a 30 minute countdown then your hatch starts playing whatever sound you want until you’re ready to go to sleep. I use this time to read and it makes me not reach for my phone to doomscroll for hours! If you are on the fence about the investment this is your sign to do it! I know it’s expensive for an alarm clock but it is so much more than that and truly an investment for your sleep! I’ve tried so many medications to help me sleep but nothing has helped as much as the hatch alarm clock!
