Non stick pan
Great product. You can cook anything there . Non stick . You can even make sunny side up eggs with no oil or butter and it will not stick and cooks perfectly. Good size for personal use.

Another great little appliance from DASH
I purchased this griddle 8 months ago, and I use it at least once a day. It heats up quickly and evenly. Great for toasting bagels or English muffins, and absolutely perfect for quesadillas. Works great for eggs or a quick mini pizza too. The only downside is that there's no choice of temperature, and the cooking plates aren't removable which makes it a bit annoying to clean if you've cooked anything messy. But those features all add to the cost, so this griddle is just perfect at the price point. I originally had the DASH Mini Maker, which is the same as this but half the size. I'm glad I upgraded because this larger model is a lot more versatile while still being compact enough to store easily. I've never been disappointed by a DASH product, and this is no exception. A very handy little thing to have around.

I am having fun with this little guy
I am having fun with this little guy! Small, compact, easy to use, and easy to clean, enough said! It just wipes clean, it couldn't be any easier than that!! I got this after I saw it was recommended on an ATK (America's Test Kitchen) gear heads video. I trust them for recommendations on products, and I feel this one didn't fail to live up to their recommendation. I got this mainly with the purpose in mind to use it in our camper, it's an electric plug in device, so I won't have to fire up the cook top stove and use up our propane, and the fact that it's just a wipe clean for clean up, means one less dish or pot to clean, and so I also won't be using up our water either. It can cook up some eggs rather quickly and nicely!! So it is a win win for me!! Also with it being 8 inches wide it can fit a nice size slice of bread and can be used like a panini press but won't have the grid marks/lines, so it's a multipurpose appliance too. There is NO off/on switch, just plug it in and it's ON, and plug it out to turn it OFF. There is a blue indicator light on the outside top/lid.I have only had it about a month, and have had no issues with it yet, Basically so far I have only experimented making eggs and panini sandwiches with it but want to try out a few other things with it too, like sauteing some onions on it or even cooking a burger on it! I think the convenience of it, easy clean up and small footprint of it, would lend itself well for apartment living or cooking for one or two persons.

Good option over a stovetop and frying pan
I find this simple and effective for omelettes. However, the instructions say to use food spray top and bottom, and I don't know if that's always necessary. I get a lot of food spray drippings and leftover after I've - very quickly - executed an omelette. A bit smoky in execution of an omelette but not enough to set off any fire alarms. It's a griddle and behaving like one. Very easy to wipe clean. The size is perfect for a single serving omelette. Cute color, too. And lightweight. For people who don't count themselves gourmet and have limited space, it's a great idea.

My fav kitchen tool! This is sooo useful, and easy to use to make many things!!
This is my second one of these( a kid stole the first when they left! ) This is a great sized electric cooking griddle. It is the perfect size for making several fried eggs, pancakes, and great for making a grilled cheese sandwich, and quesadilla’s! I love that it heats evenly both sized so you don’t have to flip things over- and yet doesn’t squish eggs and things. It is especially useful when doing a keto diet and wanting smaller quantities and making things quickly! Super easy to use- even kids can use it with help!

Makes Great Grilled Cheese, & Quesadillas
I am glad that I chose the Red 8" Dash Griddle, even tho it's still small, it's doable. I love the cheery Red color, which goes with my Red Keurig, & my Red Electric Kettle. All you have to do is plug it in, there is no on/off switch. When the blue light goes out, it's ready to use. This 8" Griddle gets very hot, so exercise care, when using it. The 8" Griddle comes with an instruction booklet, with recipes. They say that you should spray the non-stick surface, with non-stick spray, but I haven't done that, because I have read that you shouldn't spray non-stick cookware with non-stick spray, that it ruins the surface. So far, I've only used this 8" Griddle to make grilled cheese, & quesadillas. I've had no problem with anything sticking. You do need to flip whatever you are making, to cook both sides. It does cook quickly. Make sure that you unplug the Griddle, when you are done using it. Let it cool down, before cleaning it. I just take a wet paper towel, and wipe it down, which it's very easy to clean. Then I take a dry paper towel, to make sure that it's dry, so it won't rust. You cannot wash this Griddle in the sink, because it's electric. The cord is not detachable. It doesn't take up a lot of counter space, & you can stand it up.

Not good for pancakes! Great for grilled sandwiches!
If you plan to make pancakes this is not the way to do it. It doesn't cook evenly on both sides and you have to spray the lid and surface with oil The oil puddles under the DASH and the oil turns black after 1 pancake. You have to constantly wipe it out with tongs and a paper towel. I would NEVER let my kids loose with this because it gets super hot and unless you plan a visit to the emergency room for burns do not let children handle this, EVER. On the other hand, it's great for grilled sandwiches. It cooks grilled cheese and other grilled sandwiches almost perfect, better than you can do them in a pan. Because the sandwiches are thick, they cook evenly on both sides. The only thing of it is, it grills sandwiches really fast, so if you don't watch them, and turn them, they will burn. I'm talking for one minute or less. That is where DASH shines is grilled sandwiches. They come out amazing! I have a great recipe to share if anyone wants it, but the big key is, if you're doing grilled cheese, make sure the butter is not too thick and it's evenly spread over the bread. make sure it's not too much or the center will be soggy. But, the grilled sandwiches come out toasted and perfect on both sides. Very little effort and is super easy. I wouldn't let my children loose with this. It gets way too hot! Is it worth what I paid for it? Yes and no. Yes, because it does great with grilled sandwiches, no because I got it for pancakes, and it sucks that way
