LOVE… But not without issues.
I love this machine—it's ready to go right out of the box, and you'll be up and running on day one. That said, regular maintenance is crucial. You'll need to clean it frequently—daily, or even more often depending on your projects. The included fan technically works, but it consistently triggered filter replacement errors after just 1–2 hours of use. I ended up replacing it with an inline fan, which added about $200 to the overall cost. While the original fan was functional, it didn’t ventilate well—I noticed more fumes and smoke, and one of my cats had an allergic reaction. The inline fan solved those issues, though it is significantly louder, it can be controlled manually to reduce the noise.Maintenance of the laser unit itself can be tedious. Cleaning the lens and cap is simple, but I didn’t expect to have to remove the housing to access the internal fan blades. That was a surprise and added more effort to the upkeep.Despite these maintenance demands, I truly enjoy using my M1 10W Ultra. Still, I wish I had done more research and opted for the 20W model. If I choose to upgrade— it costs $600+ more.

DO NO PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY
DO NOT PURCHASE ANYDOTHING FROM XTOOLS. Purchased the M1 Ultra a few months ago problem after problem. They give you no customer service at all. They just want your money and then go away even if their machine does not work. They make you contact them through e-mail which takes 24 to 48 hours to respond unless it is a weekend then it is longer. Then they say we will send you a new circuit board which you must replace yourself and it takes two weeks. Then you yourself install that circuit board which causes more issues making the machine inoperable. So now you have a really expensive paperweight that is garbage.

It’s big & looks good
It’s a big beautiful machine & is made of good quality, but not as easy to setup & use as they make it seem. I will have to contact customer service for help. Will update later once I do.

Great 4-in-1 Machine for Small Business Crafting, but Inkjet Sold Separately
I purchased the xTool M1 Ultra 10-watt Premium. I’m not new to laser engraving or working with vinyl, but this is my first 4-in-1 multi-function machine. The packaging was impressive! Everything was well-protected and unboxing it was easy. Make sure you have a helper because it is heavy! Assembly took a little time but that is mostly because I wanted to be careful not to damage anything and to get familiar with all the parts.Using the blade for cutting vinyl works smoothly, and I am happy with how well it works. The double-sided cutting mat is a bit different from what I am used to on my Cricut, but it makes sense because it needs to stick to the bottom plate of the machine to stay still. The pen feature is very easy to use. My first project was a birthday card for my daughter . I used a template found in the software's project files. The pens are easy to change, and the results were amazing. One downside of the pens is that I wish I could use the pen on other flat materials such as wood. Maybe it’s possible, but I haven’t figured it out yet.I've used the laser most of all since I have had the machine. I've Christmas ornaments, black acrylic earrings, a 2-layer jack-o-lantern and more. The laser does a great job with both engraving and cutting. The exhaust system is surprisingly effective. I vent the fumes through a window and only notice the wood burn smell after opening the lid when a job is complete. The print head. One downside I found is that the print head is sold separately. The machine is advertised as 4-in-1, but even with the premium package, you are really buying a 3-in-1 that is capable of a 4th feature but only if you buy it.As for the software, xTool’s XCS is a bit intimidating but there are many YouTube tutorials out there and I have been able to pick it up pretty quickly. If you are familiar with design space, it is an easy transition. The software provides everything you need to run the machine and best of all it is FREE! Overall, I’m really happy with the machine so far. I haven’t tried the rotary tool yet (it seems a little intimidating), but I’ll update my review once I do.
