14-Blade Coat King Rake Pet Undercoat Rake,Professional Pet Dematting Comb Grooming Stripping Tool for Dogs and Cats (6.2cm)

I have two Pyrenean Mountain dogs (Great Pyrenees in US) and been struggling between visits to professional groomers to keep on top of their fur, both top coat, fine and silky, and under coat, coarser and woolly. Few implements go through both, and they can get knots, matting, and dead hair build up, often I have had to back comb the undercoat to strip dead fur, then comb it back then comb the top coat afterwards. This tool is a revelation, it combs out both coats at the same time and takes out masses of dead hair, I am amazed how much there is on the dogs given that they are regularly groomed at home and every two months professionally, as I thought the tools I have been using were not really doing the job well enough!. It looks like a torture implement but does not hurt the dogs, I hold the fur so that it does not pull on them on initial clear through as it fills quickly and can tug, once cleared it slides through the fur easily and you know it has worked because it takes no more fur from their bodies, and their coat looks right. They are super silky to touch and their coat is visibly less thick and dense and they will stand and be groomed all over with it for as long as it takes. Whereas in the past I would get 20 minutes if lucky, less if anything snagged on their hair, before they told me by lying down, sitting down, walking off, rolling on their backs waving all four legs in the air or trying to eat the dead fur from whatever I was using that they had had enough. I get none of that now thanks to this implement. The only downside is that I have to separate them now as if grooming one with this tool the other tries to barge them out the way and take their place, which I guess shows how much they like this tool being used on them! The other benefit is that once you have had the first grooming session and removed most of the dead hair and tangles the time taken is much reduced for all of us and they and I have a much more pleasant experience! Thank you this is a great tool for double coat dog breeds, I expect the single coat implement would be just as good for use on those dog breeds though not tried.

I used this on my working cocker spaniel and cocker poo mix. I had lots of dead hair come out. It's not sharp or spiky on your dogs skin. Easy to use and doesn't pull the hair. It has a double end to choose from.

I have two show cocker spaniels that I’ve had had stripped since they were old enough to have their coats thinned out. My groomer closed due to ill health and I searched the entire county and beyond trying to find another groomer. My friend has the “coat king” so I decided to order this cheaper version. This is an excellent grooming aid and I would highly recommend it. It has removed a large volume of loose hair with no pain or discomfort for my dogs, one of them even fell asleep whilst I was grooming him. It doesn’t have any sharp blades that may cut you or the dog. I compared it to the brand version and it’s exactly the same just a lot cheaper. Hope this helps anyone with spaniels. ☺️

Works well to tidy the coat of our wire hair fox terrier.

Having s number of dogs that need hand stripping and grooming, i have used a variety of branded grooming combs over the years and have always been disappointed. This is a complete game-changer ! The wider teeth go easily through longer fuller hair and only remove dead hairs tangeled in there. It doesn’t wrench out living hairs which would cause pain to the dog. It’s very effective, removing a quantity of loose/dead hair quickly with minimum fuss. The finger comb can be used after complete grooming with the wider comb or can be used on the head and ears. I won’t bother looking for any other mark from now on.

I have two German Shepherds one with mid length hair and 1 short both shed hair like mad! This was recommended to me as I usually use a Furminator but at certain times of year such as now there is more hair to deal with. Anyway I am not 100% certain of this product yet, I have used it twice and it does seem to pull the mid length hair a bit and it is a really small head for big dogs so it takes ages and they hate standing there when there is so much else to do! The comb certainly got a lot of hair out but I think it will take a while to get used to.

After lock in a good dog groomer will have to put any mistakes right. His coat wii grow again😁

Premetto che ho due Lagotti con un pelo non certo facile da trattare, ma con questa spazzola ho finalmente trovato una soluzione valida. Basta passarla e si districa il pelo togliendo tutto lo sporco... La consiglio vivamente e sto pensando di acquistarne una di scorta

Me ha sorprendido lo fácil que saca todo el pelo muerto de mi perrita sin que ella se queje lo más mínimo, y eso que no le gustaba nada el cepillado con su antiguo cepillo. Ahora se relaja y se deja hacer tranquilamente y seguro que pasará un verano más fresquita sin tanta capa de pelo encima y en casa recogeremos muchas menos pelusas! Lo recomiendo para perros con dos capas de pelo, uno corto y lanoso y otro largo sedoso, como mi pomerania. :)
