Collected Works for Solo Guitar.

I have all this stuff on various bits of paper collected over many years and they were very expensive too at the time. So nice now then to be able to have it all in one book. Buy this from the outset and you have the lot in one hit and it's great music too. Definitely a 'must have' for all guitarists, buy it now!

This book is ideal for its completeness in terms of the catalogue of guitar music written by Villa-lobos but the main frustration is that there are no fingerings. This is particularly a frustration since Segovia himself made use of the Villa-lobos fingerings for the 12 Etudes and specifically recommended they be used. So you could make up your own but it might not be authentic and it is tedious. The same publishers have subsequently released separate editions that have the intended Villa-lobos fingerings synthesised from analysis of the historical manuscripts. Therefore unless you are an expert I would avoid this book. I bought it 20 years ago when I was having guitar lessons but now on my own its not very helpful, except for the one my teacher wrote fingerings for...!

Have been looking for this book. Hard to find it. Good music book, but too expensive.

My guitar instructor recommended this book, for the authors work. Practice , practice, practice

Great resource but the print quality is not great

Wonderful book. I'm not there yet musically, but love their and playing the music is something I am striving for.
