Put it to use the same day it arrived and loving it. I am 51, and only 5'2 and starting to feel my age, but I was able to do a lot more with this tool than I have ever been able to do before. Mr. Man was skeptical, touting his sawzall, but I got him to try it for a minute as we tackled a huge fallen branch in the yard that had sat there since last season and it was a challenge to get it back again! It actually made the chore almost FUN because it was so quick and easy to cut through stuff that would have otherwise needed awkward two handed loppers. This little saw was easy light enough for me to use one-handed, in various angles and the safety button is easy to use in the grip without making it uncomfortable. Plus, it handled the thicker branches that normally would have required hand sawing like they were nothing - chews right through them quick as you please, and even tackled some larger than 4" diameter by spinning it around. For the price, it almost is worth it even if it quits working after today! We accomplished a LOT in a single afternoon, and didn't even have a full battery charge to start with. I got the package with 2 batteries and 2 extra chains, in the 4" size. I figured the torque would be more beneficial than the extra 2" on the blade given what size stuff we had to handle, and it performed admirably. It was very maneuverable and there really wasn't much that would have required the extra length anyway, so I am pleased with my decision. The sawzall sat on the ground the whole time, too. I really like the mini-chainsaw quite a lot, as it didn't intimidate me the way the larger ones do, and the thing is pretty quiet. I never felt like it was out of my control either. If the thing has ANY kind of durability, it will be one of the best purchases I have made in a while. I got it in pink, too, hoping that might deter Mr. Man from running off with it, but he is now of the mind that pink or not, it was doing the thing! Totally great gadget! I now have a nice stash of firewood that I was able to gather myself without needing to wait for the fella to help with his power tools or brawn. The hardest part was getting some of the larger logs out where I could get at them with the saw, but it was actually easier to access them just by cutting through anything that was in my way. Really pleased with this purchase!

UPDATE 1/6/26 After some months of good pruning, regularly tightening and oiling the chain when needed, I can no longer tighten the chain screw, so the chainsaw is worthless. First of all, it comes with a very tiny screw head and SHORT handled screw driver to tighten the chain. The driver provided is impossible to grip because the line of force is right up against the chainsaw. I had managed to use another driver with a longer, but still too short, handle (all I have with long enough handles to grip well beyond the chainsaw are too large for the screw). Between using the driver at a forced angle in order to get my fingers around it, and the lack of leverage with a short handle, the screw head is now stripped and cannot be tightened. So frustrating. It’s a shame this was not designed better, with a larger screw head designed for a driver with a long handle. When it worked the saw was so handy and did a great job. None of the major manufacturers (DeWalt, Stihl, Makita, etc) sell anything like this. At least not on Amazon. I’ll have to look further because this Saker saw can no longer be used and I’m not going to waste my money buying another one. UPDATE 11/25/25: As it turns out, the batteries work fine. I just didn’t leave them on the charger long enough. The three green lights, indicating battery life, lit up very quickly, so I thought they were fully charged. But they weren’t. Once I left them on the charger overnight, they provided long use. So the battery life light indicator is useless, but the saw is great. So I’m changing my rating to 5 stars. Original Review in 5/25: The saw is excellent! The battery life sucks! So I got on Amazon to buy 2 more batteries and chargers (so I can work with 2 while recharging the other 2, but that costs more than buying another saw! So I bought another saw and charger. It’s a shame but, obviously, it works well and I love it or I wouldn’t be buying another one.

Perfect size for a 79 year young lady. I have always enjoyed household problems and projects over the years. It began when I lived in the city and would become impatient, due to the super not showing up to make repairs. Self taught my-self and became more confident with different projects. I bought the saw to make it easier to cut the bushes in my yard.Anything heavier than this and my arms get tired really quick. It is small and compact and easy to use.
