My Take on This Device After a Month of UseI’ve been using this device for over a month, and it’s been a game-changer for keeping all my phone calls and meeting transcriptions organised. Here’s what I think:What I LoveVersatility:Great for recording meetings, phone calls, or casual chats where I need to capture key details.It’s become a daily essential for me. 1,800 monthly minutes of transcription is much more than the competition.Ease of Use:The magnetic attachment allowing me to connect directly to my Nothing phone case is super convenient. It's compact and lightweight, so it’s easy to carry around without noticing it. The recording quality has so far been excellent. The audio recording, transcription text and formatted summaries can all be shared to other apps like mail, cloud storage, Microsoft Word, WhatsApp etc.Hidden Features:Beyond the basic summaries, I found that you can export transcriptions to other apps (like ChatGPT). This opens up endless options for refining notes, brainstorming, or creating personalised content.Tech Support:I had an issue backing up files to my computer using the supplied data cable, so I contacted their tech support by email. The next morning I had a reply from their support team and solved it right away.What Could Be Better?Not much to complain about, but I wish I’d opted for the white version to match my phone.Who Is This For?If you’re looking for a reliable, functional, and innovative recording and transcription tool to streamline your workflow, I believe this is it. It’s compact, powerful, and packed with features that make my life easier.Final ThoughtsIt’s a solid choice if you want to keep your meetings and phone calls transcriptions organised without any hassle.Worth trying out, I don't think you won’t be disappointed.

As a health professional, I've been using a dictaphone from the time of the horse and cart and my subsequent battles with tapes in these were legendary. Enter the FOCASE AI recorder and this has been a complete game changer. Easy-to-use out-of-the-box without any pfaf and it pretty much hits the ground running from the first moment. The transcription is intuitive and the quality of output is excellent. There are heavily promoted items on the market right now and which are much pricier and which also comes with hidden subscriptions which locks one in. With this device, one gets a generous 1.8k minutes pm allowance which should be sufficient for average individual and, even if one has to take out a subscription, it is relatively inexpensive. As for the device itself, it's well made, eminently portable and pocketable and extremely easy to use even for someone who may not be tech savvy. Such is my confidence with this that I have bought three of them for use by colleagues. In short, look no further, this recorder is understated but highly rated and is most definitely very much recommended. Addendum (23/06/25): I had a slight technical problem with the recorder and was most impressed by the support offered by Lily from their support team. Apart from the promptness in their response, was their kind offer to expeditiously send me a replacement which they did. I have now used this recorder for about 3 months almost daily and can confidently say that has helped enormously with my letter/report writing, capturing interviews and has most definitely increased the level of my productivity. This is cutting edge stuff. Highly, but highly recommended. (Ps. I'm not being paid to do this review)

The product is very good, the translation option allows me to review my recordings via a timed option. The sound quality has been excellent and the size is perfect for just dropping into my pocket.I did have a small issue with buzzing over the top of my recordings, when I contacted the helpline/customer services the service I received was absolutely fantastic, I cannot say just how good the customer service is/was. Within 2 days I had received a new device.

Nice bit of kit, better value for money than the super expensive one, easy to use, small in size so discreet and unimposing. Comes with a charger and a little storage pouch and a mag ring if you need one to secure it to the back of your phone to record calls. Works well for taking notes but I had an issue with registering on the app so I could access all the functionality. Took a bit of tooing and froing over email but eventually got it sorted (the verification kept saying it failed so I couldn’t get any further along the registration process) with the customer service agent setting up the account as I didn’t have a separate phone available to try and complete it myself (she thought it may be the phone that was causing an issue, I have an iPhone XR) but it works fine now, I have registered my account, changed my password and hey presto!!! Fab little gadget that will help me no end!!! Good to note too that the company have no access to the files you create so everything is secure on your phone or file system.

Voice recording and phone recorder functionality is ok but the transcription fails to work. Sits on the "transcription in progress" screen and goes no further. Waited for 90 minutes for a 5 minute audio file.No way to abort the failed transcription apart from deleting the audio file and this fails too. Restarting the phone restarts the failed transcription process.I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and performed factory reset. Tried again with a 10 minute test and saw the same behaviour.There are no firmware or software updates available unfortunately. So stuck with a partially working device.
