Very fast computer; since I am older and not as computer literate as younger people, there is a longer learning curve. My printer does not operate as fast from this computer, so I have to figure it out! I do like the speed of this computer and will probably like it more as I become more knowledgeable.

This was a replacement for a 12 year old computer - perfect size, performance.

This compact PC does almost everything I want it to do. I have 2 monitors/screens connected. **I don’t like that windows 11 defaults to One-drive and tells me that I don’t “have permission” to save files where I want them. I have been getting around that by saving where it forces me to go, then going back and moving it where I want it. Unfortunately that is too time consuming. I also have a memory card on a USB D: Drive where I save files to just to avoid the hassle. I bought this at a great price, and would recommend it.

Buyer be aware, especially if this machine is for a business! While this machine runs very well and smooth due to its specs, I ran into a problem while setting it up and installing some very old software which made the system crash. Since I hadn't made a backup yet, I resorted to the F11 recovery option during boot-up. To my surprise, this option downloaded and installed a Chinese version of Windows 11 Home Edition. To make matters worse, it's a one language only version so I was unable to understand and had to use my phone's Google translator to understand what was happening because it didn't allow language changes or upgrades. After much internet searching, I leaned that the Bios setup code for this machine's software language is 22WWQ6FZ601#SAB2#DAB2. The last four digits DAB2 are reserved for the Chinese market and it's hardwired into the motherboard. Therefore, it cannot be changed by users. As I learned, this computer was originally meant for the Chinese market. Not a big deal if you speak Chinese and don't care about a downgraded Windows version, but not what I wanted since now I couldn't recover the Windows Pro version it came with. I contacted the seller since I was within my 30 day return window and was instructed to buy a new one and return the old one. It took an additional week to get the new one and almost two weeks to get refunded for the first purchase. To my surprise, the new one also has the same Bios code which means you cannot recover it in English through the Bios F11 key process if I needed to do so in the future. Since I really like the computer, I decided to keep it. However, I just made sure I made a Windows copy of the hard drive and software installed. This really is a very, very nice computer and the specs are top knotch. The price is also great and unmatched out there for the quality. However, if my experience with it bothers you or makes you feel uncomfortable, look elsewhere for another computer. As a plus, you can always recover through Windows backup if you create a restore point and a recovery USB drive (rather than using F11 key during boot up). This will restore your software to a previous Windows backup point. Just be forewarned the startup F11 is not a recovery option with this computer unless you want a Chinese only version of Windows Home Edition and no way to go back to the Windows Pro version or came with.

FOLLOW-UP: Having used this machine for about 6 months I find it's prone to crashing and to overheating. The two may be related, of course. I definitely do not recommend this machine and I regret the purchase. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I'm just now setting it up, so I may revise this review. My first impression is that it runs very hot--almost painful to touch. Have other customers had this experience? It's advertised as having a 4TB SSD. According to Windows Performance Monitor it's 3.6TB. This feels to me like false advertising. FOLLOW-UP Having exercised it for a while I feel it's not all that powerful. Wifi keeps failing. I have another Windows 11 PC on my desk where the Wifi is stable, so it's not my Wifi, it's definitely the HP computer. Overall impression: Under-powered, runs hot, unstable Wifi.
