Good Grips Large Wooden Spoon

This OXO wooden spoon was my favorite for mixing cookie dough 🍪 but then, after several months’ use, a big chunk broke off the tip 😕. I was so bummed and actually surprised, since the quality of OXO products is usually excellent, in my experience. I was very careful to not leave it soaking in dishwater, as I know that weakens the wood. Guess my hunt for a wooden spoon as sturdy as the ones my mom and grandma used continues..

The perfect wooden spoon. Sure, you can find an unbranded one for maybe a dollar cheaper, but this should last a lifetime so id recommend getting it from a great brand.

The handle is much larger than expected but nice to hold. Very sturdy.

My husband decided to make cookies last weekend. (I almost fainted from shock, but that's another story.) Anyway, he doubled the recipe, so it was very hard to stir the oatmeal chocolate chip cookie batter. He lamented the nylon and silicone spoons we had saying he felt like all of them were going to break as he slowly, but surely, stirred. I told him I'd get him something else for next time. Ha! I ordered this spoon hoping it would be hearty and strong. Holy moley...that it is. When I took it out of the package, my husband exclaimed the title of this review! He also said if this solid and well-made spoon won't stir the cookies next time, he'll need to stop doubling the recipe. This is a substantial, stir-whatever-you-want-because-this-thing-is-a-beast wooden spoon. Now to make myself hand wash rather than place it in the dishwasher as it'll prolong its life.... These spoons are beautiful, one piece, heavy and sturdy. They feel so great in your hand and are just amazing. The size was perfect!!

These wooden utensils arrived smooth and well-finished, with no splintering at all. They’re lightweight, heat-resistant, and safe for all my nonstick pans. The only thing I’d note is that the spoon tops were a bit thinner than expected—almost like they could slip into a narrow cabinet crack. Still, they’ve held up well with daily use and haven’t warped or stained. Great value for a simple, natural-feel set. Wouldn’t purchase again because they cracked but will contact customer service because they’re very helpful . Also they were very shinny and beautiful when I got them now not so much. I prefer Figmint from Target
