Arrived well packaged, no damage. We applied car paste wax and polished it as recommended to help protect the finish and the metal. Hung on a tall shepherds hook and it is simply a joy to have in the garden. The slightest breeze sets it into hypnotic motion. One thing that we are going to do, and which I would recommend to others, is bring it in if there is going to be a bad storm with high winds. Yes, this is well built and sturdy, but to be able to spin in the wind, it is light weight metal. A bad storm would tear this off of it's hook or bash it around and bend it up. If you want nice things to stay nice, you need to take care of them :-)

This is a Mother's Day gift for my mom, so I haven't seen it action yet, but it is beautiful. I'm positive she will love it. Other reviews are correct - the edges are very sharp. Be careful when handling.

This is a replacement for one my mother owned that flew away in heavy winds. She was heartbroken. But very happy to receive the exact replacement. This time, special care was used for more secure attachment to outdoor ceiling.

This is an absolutely beautiful piece of garden art! I wanted an ornamental wind-spinner to hang on my back deck, to pretty it up. (And to be pretty even in the winter, when there are no more flowers). I was absolutely delighted with this choice! The colors are gorgeous and the effects when the sun shines on it are amazing! It casts colorful reflections on the wooden beams around it. I followed the instructions and polished it with car wax before hanging, to protect it from rain and weather and prolong its life. This made it even more shiny! :) Not a complaint, but a piece of advice - Be aware that in bright sunshine, it produces very bright reflections that can cause distracting flashes of bright light. I love it, but my husband, who works from home, found it too distracting while working in his office. The bright flashes of light were shining through the window of the deck onto the white wall of his office. As the wind spinner spun, the flashes would flicker almost like a strobe light! However, once I'd moved it to a new position, where the reflections couldn't shine through the window on to his office wall, he was happy! Now, everyone's happy! I would definitely buy this as a gift for anyone who appreciates pretty ornaments and garden decor.
