I bought the ThermoMaven Powerful Propane Torch as a Christmas gift for my brother-in-law, and it was a huge hit. Right out of the box, you can tell it’s solid and well-made. The flame is very powerful and heats up quickly, which is exactly what he wanted for projects, grilling, and general use. It was easy to attach to a propane tank, and the ignition worked smoothly with no issues. The adjustable flame is a big plus—you can dial it up or down depending on what you’re using it for. He’s already used it multiple times and has been really impressed with how reliable and efficient it is. Overall, this was a great purchase and made an excellent gift. If you’re looking for a strong, dependable propane torch for DIY projects, cooking, or outdoor use, this one definitely delivers. Highly recommend.

Very handy torch. Great torch for starting fires or warming up frozen valves but keep in a warm area. Propane doesn’t want to ignite when it gets cild

I bought this ThermoMaven propane torch to light charcoal on my Kamado grill. I used to have an electric lighter that gradually seemed to produce less-and-less heat over time. This torch does an effective job of quickly lighting charcoal. There are some things that you have to learn, though. One is that you have to light the flame with a low setting. Too high, and it will not light the propane. Two is the angle held when lighting charcoal. Kamado grills are rather deep. So, it is easy to hold the torch at too severe an angle. So, I usually get the torch blowing out strong while holding it at a less severe angle. That allows the flame to reach down to the charcoal without the flame going out.

UPDATE: The seller, ThermoMaven offered me a full refund after reading my review. WOW - great customer service. I declined, as I am satisfied with the quality of the torch. But I definitely recommend buying from a company like this who not only stands by their product, but proactively offers to make things perfect, even when customers don't ask for it. Torch works very well, but the ignitor is a joke. I can see a small blue spark each time i push the button, but it is too weak to light my torch. HOWEVER, just like a grill, plumbing torch, etc., I didn't buy this for the ignitor. I use a lighter and once started, the torch works fine.

Wow what a torch. Puts out a robust flame. I use it to light my woodstove. Has worked perfect every time. Seems sturdy. Easy to adjust amount of flame you want.

The igniter on this torch lighter initially does not work consistently, spotty at best. Unfortunately, it is not eligible for return. Update: Received a more detailed instruction from retailer on how to operate. Torch operates consistently and smoothly now.
