Excellent Garage Door Insulation Kit! Easy to Install - Very Effective -Great Customer Service
I don’t usually write reviews, but I had to take minute to write about US Energy’s awesome product. My garage door faces west and in the late spring and summer the door gets super-hot making my garage workshop unbearable and worse my bedroom is right over the garage. When they garage is hot, it makes it difficult to keep the bedroom cool. After reading all the reviews decided on this product. I like clean look of the foam insulation strips and am R-8 rating is about the best I found. The two-car garage kit I ordered was delivered as promised in about a week. I opened the box, removed the contents and read the instructions. It was very simple to install. The taping takes a while as there are lots of pieces that need to be cut and applied. I found handling the foam really easy and cutting it as well. Unfortunately I measured wrong and ruined two sections. Since I’m a stickler for details I decided to contact the company to buy two foam strips to replace the ones I cut wrong. Instead, I was pleasantly surprised when I was told two new rolls would be sent out right away at no charge. Those came in a few days and I was able to finish the project quickly. I am completely satisfied with the product. My garage workshop is comfortable now and the inside of the door is cool to the touch even when the sun is beating down on it. A word of advice: Follow the instructions!! The two-sided tape supplied is amazing. The tape is very thin but after curing sticks great and I’ve had no problems with it coming loose. It’s important to clean the surface well prior to applying the tape. Then use the little tool they provide to press the tape into place and let it ‘Cure’ for 12-24-hours. The finished product looks like it was installed professionally and it actually insulates very well. I highly recommend this product if you want an easy to install insulation kit for your garage door. In addition, the customer service is outstanding.

Awesome Insulation Kit!
I’ve bought 2 sets of this insulation now for 2 different doors and it is awesome! Precut panels makes it super easy to install. The tape it comes with works great. The fit is great and they look better than most door insulation kits. It does a really good job blocking out heat and cold. For sure a must have for any shops with uninsulated doors. One kit covered my 10x11 door.

Great Product
I sought this out with off-label intentions. The windows here at my apartment are losing way too much energy, and the colder months are here. This is about as good as I could get it. While it may seem crazy someone would go to the expense and trouble of putting this up, I am happy living here otherwise. Sometimes you just have to do things yourself. I didn't use the provided tape, as I figured it would be way too strong. I needed to use a tape that could be removed upon leaving so ended up using some 3M white vinyl tape. I also used some Duck window tape (double-sided) all around the frame and straight down the middle. Four strips is actually too long to fit side-by-side within the window frame, so each one has some overlap with the one below it like shingles are done. This actually ended up making a better seal anyway. Really pleased with the product, and it was easy to handle and install. Does it actually work? My need for an oil radiator to augment the heat in bedroom has been greatly reduced. I even just had to turn it off, and it was on the lowest setting (it's currently 35 degrees outside). The bedroom was always uncomfortably colder during low outside temperatures. Now it is actually warmer at times, and the oil radiator seems to be able to handle any lower temps with far more ease. Interested to see how things fare when it gets to the teens and even lower. It was miserable last year, along with the electric bill. As a bonus, putting this up had the benefit of blocking a good amount of light, and it noticeably reduced noise from the interstate.

Good Product - would recommend!
I purchased this product as an alternative to getting insulated garage doors from the factory when building our new home. The factory door insulation was R6, this was R8. A small difference, but it was also a little more than $300 cheaper. Positives - the process is easy to understand and you can customize to your doors as needed. Once completed I noticed a difference in the overall temperature. Personally, we would be happy to see an electric bill savings, but we mainly purchased to our cars are not really cold during the winter, since we have 2 young kids we take to school in the morning. The seller also included plenty of material. I made a mistake in cutting the material which did result in me running just a little bit short, I was able to work with the seller quickly to resolve my issue. Cons - depending on your style of garage door, you may run into issues like I did with the tape adhering to the doors. Our doors have recessed panels and they're metal with a "wood look" grain texture, so it's not perfectly smooth. The tape stuck initially really well. After waiting the recommended 24 hrs for the tape to tack up, the tape had come off in multiple areas. What I ended up doing was purchasing some construction liquid nail adhesive and using that in addition to the tape, to help seal the edges. Between the 2 methods, it's satisfactory. Your door may be different and work better than ours. Overall it satisfied our need and happy with the purchase and customer service.
