It’s not pasta but as close a substitute as I have found
I need to limit Carbs which basically eliminate pasta from my meals. I have tried many substitutes and these top my list. I won’t say they taste like pasta, but they have a great texture and soak up the flavor of the water (salt/pepper) and the added sauces. 2 real important items, water needs to be rolling boil when you add the Shirataji and you need to leave it in the water for 15 minute. It is best at 15, too early or late does change the texture.

healthy and almost indistinguishable from pasta
this is better than I expected it would be. They were hard like dry noodles, and unlike the wet packets there was no smell at all, not even when it was cooking. They expand quite a bit to the size of regular noodles although they’re quite thin when you buy them and they take upwards of a half hour to boil. But once they’re done, there’s no funny taste almost indistinguishable for regular pasta. The only noticeable difference I found on the first go round was that even after half hour they were still somewhat al dente, which was OK with me. I imagine if you cooked them even longer they’ll soften up to be the same consistency is done spaghetti noodles. And I refrigerated a batch and ate it later and it didn’t continue to absorb the sauce or otherwise change it held up to being refrigerated quite well overall, I was more than happy with it and ordered some more

Indigestible crap
indigestible. they come out looking exactly like they go in. I thought I had pooped a bowl of spaghetti. three days of suffering ensued. Gas that puts beans to shame and intestinal difficulties for three days. do not buy these things.

They really did not spike my blood sugar.
It could have tasted better but with sauce they were ok. Texture was a little weird need to get used to it. But It did not spike my blood sugar which was fantastic.

Wonderful, esp. when cooked longer
I've been eating low histamine keto for a few years. A noodle every now and again brings me joy. I do not tolerate the additives (citric acid or lime) in hydrated shiritaki. I've purchased different versions of these Liviva shirataki products 4 times now. Rather than cooking for only 20 minutes, I add the dry noodles to heavily salted boiling water, turn down the heat to a simmer and cook for 26-27 minutes. I then tong the noodles from the hot water into a sautee pan with a mix of low carb veggies tossed in olive oil, herbs and sea salt. The texture of the spaghetti at this cooktime is great - chewy, slightly al dente, very satisfying. the noods also pick up the salt really well, so they lend themselves to the dish rather than rely on other flavors in the dish to "make up for them." They remind me of perfectly cooked, thicker rice noodles. When cooked longer than instructed, olive oil, fats and other ingredients also coat the noodles really well, making for a flavorful bite. Be sure to chew well and drink plenty of water so as to avoid stomach upset. I have MCAS and tolerate these : ) - a huge deal. If you know, you know. Happy Konjac noodling.

Slimy
Stringy, sticky slime. If you can get past the look and texture, it's edible

This is a really good product. I tried the shiritaki that is not died and definitely not as good. Very happy and will definitely buy them again.

We have ordered these noodles a couple of times and enjoy them. They do take a long time to cook however. The pkg says 15 mins. We prefer our noodles more on the soft side and find that it takes 30 mins to achieve that. Otherwise, no complaints. I did want to report that we did receive 6 boxes unlike a number of other reviewers. They came in what looked to be a purposely sized box. That is, it appears that it was pre-packed as a batch of 6 on the warehouse shelves. Just our experience.

I bought this because I wanted a low carb option to eat with stir fry, etc. This product is gross. It's like chewing rubber. No matter how long I boil it, it doesn't change. Huge waste of money. It went in the garbage.
