This is a great little piece of kit that has helped me whilst away. It actually activated whilst I was travelling so I could send somebody around to have a look. Turned out to be a false alarm but thankful for it letting me know rather than coming home to a water leak. It’s easy to use and set up. The iPhone app is straightforward and uses notification alerts. I’ve had this for a few months and the battery seems to be OK. I have recommended this sensor to others and will be buying more in the future. A quick, easy, and cost effective way to protect yourself and your home!

Installation is easy. Download the app, register, add the batteries, it auto detects then add your 2.4Ghz wi-fi details. Once it connects to the cloud service and you have allowed notifications you get email and notifications once the detector detects even a small amount of water 0.5mm. Initially on the app I thought there was a problem with WIFI because the service was greyed out saying bluetooth was lost... This is NOT a problem as this situation occurs because the device to save power only connects to WIFI once it detects water and alerts. The alerts came thru very quickly. A good bit of kit for an early alert of water somewhere :-)

Slightly fiddly to set up and pair with WiFi via the iOS app - not helped by somewhat garbled instructions that have to be downloaded from a QR code. Apple HomeKit integration is not terribly clear. That said, the sensor is neat, very compact and easily placed alongside any boiler, water heater, dishwasher or laundry appliance. Having tested the alarm, the smallest spillage or leak seems to trigger the alarm and/or email alerts (as programmed). The on-board, physical alarm is sufficiently loud, but suitably time-limited so as to not disturb neighbours unduly if you are away from home if a leak occurs!

Work brilliantly! Had them a while then one day the washer door must not have been closed properly and water was leaking out! Alerts went off on both our phones immediately! And the device let out a loud noise too! Saved us from a big mess

Not all smart home devices are born equally....Switchbot make good quality, reliable, tech. As with all these things, nothing is perfect. But Switchbot devices are of a high tech standard and they're, generally, reliable - which is the main thing, really.

Bought this to sit under a badly placed overflow - tested it in terms of drips direct to the unit and water sting the unit - easy to change setting through the app and links to Alexa to warn of a leak Great value for money

Bought this item after basement flooded after heavy rain as drains could not cope with volume of water at night. If I had known we could have prevented some of the damage. I purchased this item and placed it by the water ingress point and the alarm sounds when water reaches the basement an alert sounds on phones and tablets plus an Alexa alert sounds on all the house devices and we can man the pumps. We test regularly to ensure it works and so far it has worked.

Lo más importante para mí era que emitiera una alarma potente en caso de detectar agua, y lo hace de forma impecable con un sonido ajustable. Lo he instalado junto al desagüe del aire acondicionado, ya que en ocasiones se emboza, y la tranquilidad que aporta es inigualable. Además, su certificación IP67 garantiza resistencia al agua, y el hecho de que no necesite un hub simplifica mucho su uso. Sin duda, una compra recomendable para proteger cualquier espacio de posibles fugas.

Brilliant ! I have installed cameras, door devices, routers, temp guages in 2 locations, and this is the only device of the bunch that just works, No complexity, very reasonable, and part of what gives a small discount from insurers. The fact that it does not need a router makes it much more fail resistant. If I get a water leak, I get a notification and an email. If the battery goes low, I get notifications(and they aren't supposed to be hard on batteries). If I go away for a while, I can see battery state on app. I'm rarely this enthused about a product.

Detects water on a surface or floor with the 2 bottom contacts, or water dripping on top of it with the 2 top contacts. It is a small device so easy to fit in. Works on 2 regular AAA batteries. A Warning is visible in the app when the battery is almost empty, and status of the sensor if water is detected or not. Rules can be created to send specific messages or trigger actions for other switchbot devices. Google home can show the sensor status, but cannot trigger actions when water is detected (not event driven). Prevents a lot of damage by water when wooden furniture or floors are involved. Use under drains, taps, boilers, central heating, open windows or doors when raining. Also sun shading that catches water and could be damaged by the weight of the water can be protected.

Ich habe den SwitchBot WLAN Wassermelder für den Keller gekauft, um frühzeitig auf mögliche Wasserschäden reagieren zu können – und bin absolut zufrieden! Installation: Die Einrichtung war super einfach – kein Hub nötig, einfach per 2,4 GHz WLAN mit der App verbinden. Die App führt einen schrittweise durch den Prozess, der in wenigen Minuten erledigt ist. Funktion: Der Alarm ist mit seinen 100 dB richtig laut – definitiv nicht zu überhören! Zusätzlich erhält man sofort eine Push-Benachrichtigung aufs Handy, was besonders praktisch ist, wenn man gerade nicht zu Hause ist. Ich habe einen kurzen Test mit Wasser gemacht – die Reaktion war blitzschnell. Design & Verarbeitung: Das Gerät ist kompakt, sauber verarbeitet und durch IP67 auch komplett wasserdicht. Die kleinen Standfüße sorgen dafür, dass auch minimale Mengen Wasser schnell erkannt werden. Besonders gut gefällt mir: Keine zusätzliche Bridge oder Hub erforderlich Flexibel platzierbar (z. B. unter Waschmaschine, Spüle oder im Technikraum) App ist übersichtlich und leicht zu bedienen Fazit: Ein Muss für alle, die sich vor teuren Wasserschäden schützen wollen – besonders in sensiblen Bereichen wie Küche, Bad oder Keller. Preis-Leistung top!

Wij hadden regelmatig last van harde regen die door een kier bij het raam naar binnen komt. Nu worden we gewaarschuwd als de vensterbank nat wordt, nog voordat de vloer blank staat. Duidelijk hoorbare meldingen (instelbaar) en notificaties in de Switchbot-app.
