Good kiosk for fixed locations
CTA offers this digital kiosk pedestal in black or white finishes. We received the black version which scuffs easily. The unit is made from steel (verified by magnet.) There are two cable access hole covered with plastic grommets. They are located too close to the top for HDMI video cables to bend 90 degrees to plug into the bottom of a monitor. This prevents the HDMI cable being concealed inside the pedestal, I was able to use the grommets to feed the 24VDC power cable to the monitor, and mounted the power supply inside with a hook-and-loop strap. The AC cable does go through the pedestal and out the bottom of the base. If CTA provided additional access holes lower down, towards the printer, then an HDMI cable could be fed through there, and through the pedestal and exit the base, although a small length would be visible. The printer mounting area is designed for newer thermal printers that are smaller than first generation printers. Neither of our Brother QL-570 or PT-2430 printers will fit inside this compartment. The pedestal has two very small wheels for moving the unit. These wheels are problematic since they are so small that the unit does not transverse ridges or carpet or other small floor features. The wheel problem is exacerbated by the lack of hand gripping areas on the top of the pedestal. When you move the kiosk you feel like you can easily loose grip and drop it. If it falls you can damage expensive equipment. In our case we mounted a $500 monitor on top, and I constantly felt that it could easily slip out of my grip when moving. This was nerve-wracking. Many users will use this kiosk in a fixed location, and if they install their electronics once the unit is fixed in place, they will not experience the uneasy feeling of moving it. CTA provides two base mounting holes for fastening the kiosk to a floor with screws. There are several other Kiosk stands on Amazon, but most do not have the interior storage space of this particular unit by CTA. For instance, I was able to mount the monitor's power supply inside the upper chamber with a hook-and-loop strap. Although this kiosk has several design problems and the black finish scuffs easily, I gave it 4 stars because it fills a gap that other kiosks do not provide. If a person plans on moving this kiosk around with expensive electronics, I would suggest putting straps around the upper section and using two people to move it to prevent damaging the electronics.

Scratched on arrival
The stand is really nice and fits my needs, but the way it’s packaged causes the printer cover to scratch the main body. I might as well have sourced a preowned solution. It is fairly lightweight, but I think that it’s strange that there is plate to prevent things from falling from the interior to the base

Plenty of cabling room
We've deployed this as a visitor badge system. Suits the bill/need perfectly!

Not useful for me
The structure wasn't strong enough to hold the screen.
