A surgical procedure for something else has thrown my back for a loop. I've been having periodic lower back pain for the past three weeks since that surgery. Finally decided to do something about it and ordered this hot/cold waist belt. It arrived today and it's already been put to work. The ice pack effect is wonderfully soothing. Hooray! I haven't tried the heat option yet, but tomorrow I'll probably be alternating between cold and hot a couple times during the day. I was pleased to find that not only did the belt fit me, but that there's also an optional extender which offers other configurations, such as if you need to secure this for a shoulder injury. It seems versatile, in other words. The quality of the materials seems solid, and it's well-constructed. The Velcro does its job without making it too difficult to secure. We actually bought two because my husband occasionally also has back pain issues. So delightful to reach that time of life where such realities creep in to one's need to manage them.

The size of both the cold/heat packs and the belt system of the KingPavonini Extra Large belt system are fantastic. I purchased because of the longer belt system and that the packs are for heat and cold. I have changed my original review as I wasn't sure the packs would stay in the envelope type pouch..they do.. The packs are the perfect size for usage. They are lightweight and effective. I am able to increase my activity. I am so pleased with the KingPavonini Extra Large system. I wish I could purchase a few more hot/cold packs. I find the heat/cold packs extremely comfortable. They are narrow and retain the heat/cold for the time safe to use.. Excellent product.

I am so glad I ordered as it covers my lower back and buttock area. 2 inserts, one for ice, one for heating in microwave were included. Each insert easily slides inside the belt after heating it or freezing. Belt has an extender if you need wider around the body. Would be a great gift for anyone with back or buttock pain help. I love mine, best purchase ever.

Fits great and very comfortable. Me personally have been able to use for my back but also on a side hip pain. Easy to take care of and super easy to get the ice packs in the belt with ease.

Great product! Easy to use. The extra large is best for placing on my back. Using twice a day for 20 minutes with good results. The two ice packs are useful as one goes into the freezer while the other is being used. Will buy again if needed.

Originally gave this a 3 star rating upon first use. But after 2 weeks of use several times a day, I easily changed this to a 5 star rating. Any concerns I had at first turned out to be unfounded. This thing has and continues to save me a lot of pain after my L2 - L5 spinal fusion surgery. Some people have complained about that the ice packs are prone to leak and dont hold the cold in very long. I found the packs to be very rugged. I am putting these things through hard use and not even a hint of a leak. Very well made. They hold the cold a good amount of time for being thin. You're not supposed to ice to long anyways. But because they give you two packs and they are a bit thinner, I have not had a time where I was left waiting for one to get cold. There have been times where pain has dictated I use a different kind of gel pack that is thicker, but thankfully the normal packs also fit in the belt. Which I am very grateful for. Some people complained about the belt. That it stretches to much and the "Velcro" doesnt hold together. I found the stretch of the belt to be perfect. Having 5 incisions around my side and back, the force of the belt is more then good enough to hold it in place but not so much that it puts pressure on the incisions. The "Velcro" isnt velcro but similar. I am using this belt probably 12 to 16 hours a day and not once has the "Velcro" failed. I go from sitting to laying down throughout the day and its always held without the slightest sign or sound of undoing. If you have been using ice packs with hand towels, I can not express enough how much you need this belt. Its a total game changer.

Strained my lower back, and it has been slow to heal. But when I purchased this cold pack, it hits it just right. I'm not a small guy, 6'2, 42 inch waist and this fits really well. I would highly recommend this for back pain. The cold pack lasts about 30 minutes and that is the amount of time my therapist recommended. comes with 2 packs, so i can ice my back again in an hour....really a good product. Worked fine until 7 months after purchase. Then a small leak developed in the insert rendering this product USELESS. 😡

This in my opinion is the best heat and cool back belt out there, and it has an extender which is great as it stays hotter and cooler for much longer. Going to buy another as this belt wont last long on Amazon well priced also.

The ice packs are really small. Might help someone but not useful to me unfortunately. Returned.
