So far, I'm very pleased with this microscope. Trivially easy to set up, easy to use, great feature set, great resolution. A minor drawback is that the video update rate over USB is slow, at least with my hardware, and it's tricky to focus when using high magnification (e.g., when using the "M" lens). A much more serious, though avoidable and correctable, problem is that if you change the file names of images saved on the microsd card, it appears to completely lock up the microscope's operating system. Images saved on the microsd card use date stamps as the basis of their file names, like 2024-0414***-01.JPG. Experimenting, I saved a few images, moved the microsd card to my computer, and renamed the files to something more meaningful to me. But when I moved the microsd back to the microscope and powered it on, the display showed whatever was on the scope stage, but pressing any button on either the remote or the display just made the scope freeze. The only fix was to power the scope off. Moving the microsd card back to the computer and erasing the images made the problem go away. This could, and should, be fixed in the software by the manufacturer. UPDATE REGARDING THE FILENAME ISSUE The manufacturer tells me they'll look into this. They didn't say whether it's a bug just with my scope or is a bug in their coding that affects all of their scopes.

I worked in a laboratory for many years while in graduate school on some of the most expensive microscopes that costed thousands of dollars. This microscope quality for the price, is outstanding. I bought this microscope for an at-home photography project involving my mineral collection and this microscope has given me a new appreciation for the pieces that I already own. This microscope has been a valuable investment that allows me to enjoy my hobby at home, while providing high quality images, with sharp detail. The photographs are full of detail and the colors are sharp. In addition to the photo feature, this microscope also allows for the capture of HD video that impresses with its quality. If you are looking for a gift for a budding scientist, this would be an excellent purchase!

Although this surprised me because of the great durability and quality. Just wish they would have better instruction manual. Would still recommend it.

I was extremely pleased for the capability and flexibility for the price, Having a long history of using professional grade microscopes to study materials, I was pleasantly surprised with the images I captured. The illumination system is very versatile and is powered by a USB power cord that I plugged into a USB backup battery that allowed me to place the device wherever I wanted with out the need of a wall outlet or extension cord. The microphotographs I have taken were conveniently store on a mini-SC memory card that I could easily transfer to my PC for future printing or presentations. 5 Stars for the value…,

I had some problems setting up but was able to troubleshoot with Dell my computer service. Found out the problem was the usb cord didn't work. Thankfully I had another device cord that worked in its place. The smaller lens microscope works and I am having problems with the three combo lenses not being able to focus properly. Will try again tomorrow. The smaller lens focuses well. It is now paired with my computer. I can take pics with my computer and see the larger image making it a handy microscope. The build quality is not the greatest. For light adult use. The cords are flimsy. The microscope is light. The nobs are easy to turn. Use the remote rather than push the buttons on the monitor as it may not last otherwise. I did contact Andostar for help they did respond quickly. They couldn't help with the problem as it was the cord not software.

For the money this Microscope is hard to beat in terms of quality and ease of use. It comes with 5 physical lenses in addition up to 3x digital zoom for a huge amount of differemt magnifications starting at 18x and topping out at 5100x. The optics sre very nice at lower magnifications and get dimmer as thje number goes up. This is normal for high mag numbers and although the 2 supplied LED lights are usually up to the task I found myself using a high intensity light I allready had to help illuminate very high mag numbers. The focus is nice but does get very touchy at high mag numbers as expected. Hooking the microscope up to a monitor is pretty straightforward and give a nice full picture, the supplied 7" screen is fine but your monitor is much better. Installation and assembly is easy and the supplied instructions are fairly straightforward. There are lots of pictures which helps as a reference. One final note. When I recieved my 266S digital microscope it was missing a part. this was Amazons fault as the package had been opened. I contacted the Manufacturer customer service instead of Amazon and they replied immediately and shipped the missing part within an hour of me contacting them. Thats how it should be done.

non-existent customer service. Ours also lost the lower light function within a couple of days. We have spent hours trying to contact someone about replacing the entire base plate if possible, as the light is inaccessible. Impossible. When you spend this much for students, at least replacement parts should be available. VERY disappointing!

The quality of the camera deserves two stars. I can tell just the realities that I saw and nothing more. 1. When I adjust the height the microscope plate is shakin and it is not useful when you try to focus on micro level creatures. 2. Scratches on the product. 3.The worst one is interferance between the plate and 0.5mm lens when you try to focus on a 3-4mm object 4. The light control buttons work only when they want. On and off not possible sometimes. 5. Low quality sd card Positives: 1. Nice camera quality 2. Possible to add one more standard lens 20.2mm.( I havent tried it as I dont have but it was written on the cap) 3. Possible to duplicate the 7inch screen with your monitor or TV with HDMI. Summary: It is good product if it is not shaking and had a good quality feeling. However, this device looks like it will be broken.

Die Verarbeitung von diesen Digitalmikroskop AD269S 20X-5000X hier kann sich sehen lassen, der Ständer besteht aus Metall, wie auch seine Beleuchtungselemente inkl. ZusatzCam, sprich es ist schon sehr Robust und somit sorgt es auch für eine viel Präzises Arbeiten! Durch seine gute Verarbeitung (Metall) hat es auch ein sehr gutes Gewicht, dies sorgt natürlich auch für eine viel bessere Standfestigkeit, was super wichtig ist. Für mich persönlich ist dieses Tolle Digitalmikroskop AD269S 20X-5000X ein sehr gutes Helferlein, da mein Sehvermögen nicht die beste ist, sowas hatte ich mir schon immer Gewünscht, lieber spät als nie. Es erleichtert mir meine Tätigkeiten enorm, besonders in der Elektronik, endlich ein viel besseres Arbeiten, bin sehr Begeistert von diesen Gerät. Auch als Lupe sehr gut zu nutzen, somit kann ich nun auch das gedruckte auf einen Chip sehr Deutlich lesen, Chip drunter, Licht An, Scharfstellen und ablesen, Mega!
