This is true chunky perlite and almost 100% dust free. A little pricey but the quality is spot on.

Yes it's white and chunky but I've noticed brown bits on some of them and wondering whether this is some sort of synthetic product

This is a 1L bag of large perlite, this bag is ideal for using with larger plants and mixing into the compost to provide more air around the roots and this also allows the roots to absorb the water. The bag is resealable and the pieces do like like gravel chippings so will blend well in the soil and if you top dress your compost will be easier to conceal if you get some pieces at the top. I am very happy with this and it will help the health of my plants and so I am happy to recommend it.

Good sized perlite granules (I guess?) certainly larger pieces then normal sized perlite. Can easily be mixed with your potting soil to make a nice blend allowing for better drainage and less water retention in the soil. The perlite gives a nice airy mix with the soil. and can be used as a nice top dressing for house plants, or perhaps even terrariums with Cacti? This is certainly what I intend to use mine for a nice top cover with the Cacti. Not very dusty which makes a change from most perlite. The granules are certainly more suited for house plants rather than mushroom growth like the smaller granules are. Good value

Only give 4 stars as is really expensive for amount you get! However it is the perfect additive for aroid potting mix and plants are happy in it. It’s not full of dust and minute crumbs as can be with others so is worth paying a bit more for. Easy to use too and most likely will also use some in orchid potting mix as is great to get air to roots.

1 litre isn't a lot: The pack size measures approx 20cm x 14.5cm so first impressions was "oh! This bag is quite small!" But, it's nice quality perlite. The perlite chunks measure about 1-2cm in size, so they are quite large coarse pieces compared to other perlite brands. No powder / dust in sight which is good. Good for drainage for your plants, if you're looking to make up a chunky soil mix. Because of the small amount of product, I guess it's best for people who only have a few small pots they want to use this for, and don't want a huge bag of the stuff taking up space.

Good quality 1-2cm chunks that came without lots of dust which was a little unusual. They had a more clean surface. Depending on the size of your pot, the quantity, and the purpose, the 1L might prove too small. I used the whole lot in one large 30cm pot by using them in the bottom, middle, and top. So far they are doing their job properly but is very early to say how the plant will benefit from this, but I am very positive and pleased.
