Inexpensive, light, and soft. Perfect for the kids. We also use them to squirt squirrels at the bird feeders. They are water tight enough to leave on the floor adjacent to the bird feeders without losing their charge.

Yes, they spray water. The problem is that the foam covers are loose, and basically fall off the plastic pump assembly. This doesn't affect their function, but definitely makes it frustrating to play with. Glad they were cheap, but now they're basically just more plastic waste.

These water soakers are better than the average because of the handles. Easier to push and pull for small kids as opposed to the soakers with knob-like pulls
