I purchase several things on Amazon and was giving pretty in-depth reviews. From this point on, here's the new agenda…. if it works as advertised, is well made, meets or exceeds the description, is a value, and arrives in a fair amount of time, it will get a "star rating" equal to what my expectations were/are. If it doesn't meet these criteria, then I will most definitely and descriptively tell the short comings of the products and you as a consumer will not have to go through the trouble of buying the product without some background knowledge. If the sell pulls that item and relists under another description, I will put the exact same review on the seller's feedback page. Sellers have done this a couple of times in the past, and I was true to my word then as well as now. DR

Exceeded My Expectations

Otis makes an excellent product, and in the bulk package, the pricing is superior to other venues selling single brushes.CON: The metal used in the product will turn green when subjected to Hoppe's No.9 solvent.

Brushes work good with bore cleaners

Cleans out powder fouling. It does a poor job with cleaning the copper fouling. The brass brush still works best.

Otis makes good kit. I use their brushes and pull system almost exclusively for pistol, rifle, and shotgun barrels. Although these were originally marketed as field kits, this is what I use at my bench. I prefer to use bronze bushes for most pistols, shotguns, and chrome-lined rifles, but use nylon for stainless rifle barrels.But, like one other reviewer, I received nine (instead of 10) brushes in my most recent order. Otherwise, I would have awarded five stars.
