Amazing! Best Stinger ever!
This looks amazing! This is by far the best Stinger ever made. It looks great in both vehicle mode and robot mode, and looks exactly like the movie version. It's incredibly well-designed, although its transformation is quite complicated (and error-prone) so this is a toy that will probably frustrate the younger kids. The printed instructions don't really show the needed details in each transformation step, but thanks to the popularity of this version of Stinger, there are plenty of Youtube videos that demonstrate all of the intricate steps for transforming this into its car mode and back. It's still not easy. This has many moving parts with tighter tolerances, so it still takes a lot of tries in order to tab/lock in many of the parts when you're transforming it back to its car mode. Ultimately, I think this Stinger is a must-have for movie fans (and collectors too). It's great for displaying because it has such fine details and realism, and I guess kids can also enjoy playing with it in its robot mode if they can just avoid the hassle of transforming it. This Stinger is just so cool in its robot mode, I don't know how the Hasbro designers did it, it's amazing.

So far the studio series have been pretty good and this figure stinger is no different
So far the studio series have been pretty good and this figure stinger is no different. It's on the small size(a hair small vs TLK Bee) but it supposed to scale better with the other figures in the line. Overall I like it, transformation is a bit tricky at first but it becomes second nature with a couple of transformations.

Good, wish it was bigger.
I really like the transformation of this guy, although it is really fiddly at times. My only major complaint is its really small. I like the size classes to fit the description. This guy is a deluxe class figure and yet the size does not reflect that. It’s like comparing yourself to Ron Jeremy when in reality you’re more like Tim Von Swine.

A great figure though it has some flaws.
I like how the figure is presented, though his transformation is rather tricky getting used to and his shuriken like wheels sometimes fall off his back if you had pressure to it. But on the other hand it is a good figure to have.

NOT A CHEAP KNOCK OFF
Ok, hello. If you don't know me. I'm TFcollect. And once again I'm bringing my editorial opinion and review of Hasbro/Takara Studio Series 02 AOE Decepticon Stinger First I'll begin with his robot mode. At first sight I was a bit disappointed because of his lackluster headsculpt. Even the detail is in great need of accentuation. They could have done a much better job being as though it's a Studio Movie adaption of the character. Allegedly. Secondly, his size is more compatible with the DOTM movie line. He's just a tad too small to officially call him a deluxe class. I know, I know. He's suppose to be in scale with the other characters for this line. But then again.....he's still too small. And speaking of DOTM...they placed on him something I absolutely hated....panel arms. Although it's just one arm, it's still unsightingly horrible. The other arm suppose to make for his claw type cannon on the movie. I love the idea, but. It fell short in its appearance. It's also part of the roof of his alt-mode. Now he has some pros. The rest of his design is really, really good except the empty space in the back of his legs, but still he looks intimidating in his style and stature and has excellent poseability. Now he comes with four shuriken type blades that you can place on appendages on his back top/bottom giving him an even closer screen accurate look and feel. Does it come off well? I guess that's a matter of taste. I actually think it looks great. Now his Alt-mode is a PUGANI HUAYRA. Now this is where he undoubtedly shines. It looks marvelous. And the the paint apps are spectacular. The panel lines may give you the shrills. But you can easily get over them. I love this vehicle mode and I think it was genius of a pick for a Transformers Movie vehicle. The Blood Red and Crisp Black with the silver stripe isnt just sexy It's fantastic. Unfortunately.....there's a flaw. The unpainted red cap tights. I mean they should've just painted them Black. They are a major distraction to what could have been the finest alt-mode of its class. They're not that bad, but they're not that good either. His transformation isnt difficult at all. Its 21steps but it feels like less than 15 once you get the hang of it. Lastly. He's not a bad figure to say the least. And he looks great standing with your Voyager Galvatron. I wouldn't say he's a must have. But for me he doesn't have to be. I needed him to officially complete my AOE collection. Im glad they made him, though. And they did a pretty good job too. I like him, but only 3stars worth. At least he not a cheap Knockoff.

Son Loved This
I would say this should be for 8 years plus. It isn't the easiest to transform but for the right age, it is fine. So far it has held up and he has had it for a couple months.

Fiddly to transform into either mode, but the Mrs managed it and she in no way does Transformers. A good little addition to the collection and actually a great toy. Feels flimsy, but actually isn’t.
