Intel® Core™ i7-14700F Desktop Processor 20 cores (8 P-cores + 12 E-cores) up to 5.4 GHz

The i7-14700F is what might be described as a "no frills" processor in that it can't be overclocked and has no integrated graphics. Although this is possibly not the obvious combination for a self-build PC, it ticks the right boxes for me personally as I like to just plug and play without messing around with settings, but also prefer to have a dedicated graphics card. Since it can't be overclocked the processor comes with Intel's Laminar RM1 cooler. It is the highest performance processor to do so and honestly they shouldn't have bothered. The cooler is inadequate for dissipating the heat produced when the CPU is running flat out. To benefit fully from the available processing power it should be paired with a more powerful after market cooler. Without the better cooler you will quickly experience significant thermal throttling. Installation is very easy. The LGA 1700 socket has a simple lever-operated clamp to hold the CPU in place. One corner of the CPU has a little triangle printed on it which needs to be matched up with a similar triangle on the motherboard - this ensures correct orientation. Performance is great, and although it won't compete with the i9-14900 I think the i7 offers better "bang for buck" while being more than adequate for the vast majority of use cases.

Before this i had a LGA1155 6 cores 6 threads, so saved my pennies and bought a new board. SAVED SOME MORE PENNIES, AND BOUGHT THIS SUPER FAST CPU BEAST. I don't Believe that a pc can run much faster.

Recently with intel and amd cpus theres a bios setting that is drastically reducing the lifespan, please do yhe research to fix this

Still not sure about it yet because of the CPU degradation issue, but don’t feel relaxed so

Got used one, the code on cpu is different with on package. Return and refund only but have been installed in my pc, no easy to replace now. Be careful if you buy it with deal

Cumple mis expectativas

Sweet spot entre i5 et i9 et si pas besoin d’oc avec chauffe contenue. Parfait pour configurer une machine en itx. Très robuste et performant, renvoyé car son grand frère a ken ma ram … Très bon processeur Intel dans l’ensemble qui n’a rien à envier à AMD. Superbe affaire à moins de 300 euros et beaucoup moins cher pour performances très correctes.
