able to get good sustain speeds with this enclosure

I need a backup hard drive but there leaves no room for my small form PC. Everything is well housed by the plastic housing. It looks nice and transparent to see through so that you feel the hard drive indeed is working nicely. A bit concerned of heat transfer as its plastic, but for me, SSD looks fine and I do not need very frequent data transfer hence so far so good, not a problem.

Orico USB type C 10gbps NVME M.2 enclosure. I mounted a Lexar NM710 NVME Gen 4 SSD in this enclosure, the SSD is rated at up to 5000MB/s read. In testing i only managed to get read and write speeds ( see image ) at just under 1000MB/s. The Orico enclosure was connected to a type C 40gbps port, i was hoping to get a little closer to the 10gbps ( 1200MB/s ) limit, the type C cable supplied with the enclosure is about 10 inches long, you get a thermal sticker and small heatsink with this enclosure too, build quality seems good also and i like that the enclosure does not need any tools either, even the SSD retaining screw has been replaced with a silicone stopper of sorts. Nice job Orico.

Bonjour bien reçu évidemment. Malgré une petite appréhension lors de cette première utilisation (tellement de variantes de SSD de ce type) tout va bien. J'ai pu installer mon SSD M.2 NVMe CRUCIAL sans trop de problème. Juste un petit souci à la première utilisation qui n'est pas due à cette adaptateur. Fonctionne très bien et qui est tout dans l'ère du temps. Très bonne fabrication et sérieux. A savoir que cet appareil (transparent) est livré avec un radiateur thermique destiné à un refroidir de façon optimum le SSD qu'il abrite. Merci beaucoup à vous.
