I have had Amazon Prime for 20 years. Of all the items I purchased, this is the best gadget I’ve ever purchased. I had an issue with a couple of orders, one with my car and another in my garage. I tried simple remedies at first using regular vinegar to get rid of the smell most of the time it worked, but this particular time it didn’t work for the car and from my garage. I searched and read reviews and decided to go with this specific model. Based on the positive reviews they had left. My car is about a year old and my sister had cooked some food and laid it down on the front seat with a tray. The liquid part of the food dripped onto the seat and down the seat to the rug in on the floor. The liquid was a mixture of cabbage and other vegetable vegetables. On a hot day, the cart would stink. I tried everything under the sun Lysol vinegar you name it I tried it. Nothing worked. My garage had somewhat of a musty smell and it’s also where we keep our litter box and we keep it clean. I put the ozone generator right up to the seat where the spill occurred and I set it for an hour. I did this twice. It worked. There’s no smell in the car right now. It’s quite neutral. I also used it in the garage and it worked there too. To explain how this works from my understanding I’ll break it down in simple terms. It’s an ozone generator which means it has three oxygen atoms. The third oxygen atom is unstable and wants to cling to things, and it will cling to organic matter thus becoming O2. I acquired a used 3/4 ton pickup that had the unholy trifecta: ** Old people smell ** Old people smoker smell ** Parked in an old garage smell ... which is the main reason why I got this truck for cheap. I'm not a smoker so on the 4hr drive home I had a headache from the interior smell + air conditioner smell. The wife also was not pleased. I wiped down every hard surface, cleaned the vents and used some de-deodorizer. No-dice, still funky. So I bought this ozone machine. I tried it three different ways with varying success: 1. Set the machine on the arm rest facing the dash, no re-circulate, just closed up. Ran it for 45mins this way. Nice start, not bad but overall only took the edge off. 2. Set the machine on a small table on the floor of the back with the rear seats folded up. Air conditioner on re-circulate 80% fan level, 60mins on the ozone timer. We made a good dent in the smell this go-around. 90% of the smoke smell was gone. Still a lot of garage / old-folks smell though. 3. Wiped down the interior surfaces again. Hung the machine out the rear window and sealed the cracks up with pool-noodle. Ran the ozone machine for 75mins with no air running, just closed up. Pretty obvious then I popped the doors that there was a much higher level of ozone in the vehicle this way. 2hrs of airing out and the majority of funk is gone. Overall pretty good for $60. It's not a miracle machine. We will still need to shampoo / detail the truck. And putting the machine inside was a waste of time. But used hung out the window, sealed up and it really did a good job.

Amazing, it eliminated the toughest of odors and removed the smell completely I was getting over an illness and could not smell, I forgot a bag of grocery's in my trunk over the weekend and it had a pack of raw chicken legs, which rotted in the summer heat. I drove around for a few days and didn't notice it until after my car sat out all day in 90 degree heat. By then the smell was bad enough to get my attention through my affliction of not being able to smell, plus it was really set in, leather seats and all. I tried several odor removal methods, specially meant for removing organic odor, including steam cleaning every surface inside the car multiple times. Nothing was getting rid of the smell. I thought for sure I was going to have to get rid of the car. I read about Ozone and how it removes odor, at a molecular level, by attaching to H2o molecules and creating oxidation to eliminate odors. It penetrates deep into the upolstery and if you run your AC while doing it, it will also clean your vents and ducting out. I ran the machine for an hour in the cabin and another hour in the trunk and it helped tremendously, but it wasn't until I did a 4 hour cycle two night in a row, in both the cabin and the trunk the order was removed completely. It eve took out the horrible smell of the unsuccessful cleaning products I used. Eventually the Ozone smell fades away and you are left with a clean smelling car. The machine itself was not the cheapest model, I went off the advice of a youtuber and selected this one, it is well built, although its light weight, the control knob fees rugged, like its not going to break. It was perfect.

We purchased this for use in our classic 1994 34' Class A RV. Build materials of this vintage are known to off-gas and produce an odor that's not entirely objectionable, but maybe a little "strange". The Ozone generator definitely suppresses the odor, but it comes back quickly, so ongoing regular treatments will probably be required. I'd say within a few days I start to notice the odor coming back very faintly - not entirely unexpected and still worth it in my opinion. The Ozone smell reminds me of a swimming pool (some of which are treated with Ozone). Immediately after treatment, of course it's very strong and not all that pleasant, but you're not supposed to breathe this stuff anyways - letting the rig air out for an hour with the windows open leaves the interior with a faint "clean" smell in the RV. Overall, this unit delivers as advertised. Build quality seems to be pretty good, and so I would recommend this product for RV use. I suspect it works great for auto and home use too. I cannot speak to longevity - yet.
