Perfect fit for 2010 forester
This was a great purchase. The old pipe came off easy and this manifold/cat went right in place. All holes lined up perfectly. The installation was easy as it should be. The add said this is stainless. I'm honestly unsure if it is cause it's magnetic but it could be. Some high grade stainless is magnetic. Time will tell. This part was very expensive to buy elsewhere. As much as 1600 and that still was not oem. This 2010 forester is so quit you can hardly hear it run. All parts were included. The gaskets for the heads and the exhaust flange gasket was included. New bolts were included as well as oxygen sensor plugs. This had a a spot for an o2 sensor before and after the cat. I only needed after so the other one I plugged. Like I said, everything was included and installation was quick and slick. Extremely happy with the purchase and installation. I was going to pain this part with high heat ceramic pain but since it said it was stainless, I decided not too. I would not hesitate to buy again if I needed too, but let's hope this last a long time.

Very quality direct OE replacement cat
Bolted straight into my 12 outback with zero issues. Hardware was a bit off but was able to reuse the studs I had on the block already. Quality seems to exceed the OE cat by a lot, went ahead and did new O2 sensors because why not at this point. Fit and function and quality all on point. Check my photos for comparison between old OE and this part I was impressed.

DON’T DO IT!
Like someone else said, save your money. The first one stopped working after maybe a month to two months. Was sent out a replacement. Before I could even send the first one back, the second one failed within a week and a half maybe. On the first one, I went through the trouble of ceramic coating it in order to extend the life, as someone suggested. Since I had no heat shields, and also because of the price. Didn’t even bother with the second one. This is one of those you get what you pay for scenarios. It sucks that catalytic converters are so expensive.

It fits at the important places.
Not too bad a job on your back…the hardest part was getting the shields to fit on the new. This thing is a pipe benders nightmare and to think these are mass-produced… regardless the shields are on mine …minus two bolts …..just wasn’t gonna happen before incoming weather…but the flanges all bolted up…..getting the back piping back on by myself required a bit more disassembly of the tailing pipes…but this thing runs like a scalded kitten now…..cheapest on the market and it works as well as the 1k assemblies. So fate I’m really happy with this lower cost repair.

it made my P0420 code go away
I replaced the original converted in my subaru. It had a p0420 code, but it had cracks where the pipe welded onto the main housing. I replaced the entire cat assembly, bought genuine denso sensors, and no more p0420 after 250 miles of driving. With my old catalytic converted the code came back after driving it <10 miles. My only issue is that the original shrouds did not fit on the converted and it seemed a little noisey upon acceleration. (exhaust reverb in the pipe) 4/5 stars

Don’t forget install the heat shield
I bought the catalytic converter for 150$. +/-. . It did not include the heat shield. The heat shield is good to have as it ke we ps the floor in the car cooler and it is safer when parking on grass or fields so the grass doesn’t catch on fire. I recommend taking pictures and buying new nuts and bolts to install the shields. The bolts may have rusted some so I recommend buying new ones. You can always bring them back to the store if you don’t use them.

Different style, did not fit 2011 Outback
EDIT: Read the descriptions carefully! This posting has three different types that fit different Subaru models across several years. The one I returned is for “11-12” but not the 2011 Outback, this one is for 13-14 Outback. The spacing on the exhaust flange to exhaust pipe studs is incorrect for my 2011 Outback. The studs are too far apart by about 5 mm in every corner. Also, this is a header style exhaust, the factory heat shields cannot be installed on it. First photo: Old gasket placed on studs showing incorrect spacing. Second photo: Factory catalytic converter (top) vs this item (bottom).

Tout a bien fitter

This is designed to cheat your engine sensors..... Both the oxygen sensor bungs are blind. They have a teeny tiny hole but basically keep the sensors out of the exhaust flow. It wouldn't surprise me if the "core" had no precious metal wash on it at all....
