I don’t know if it’s just me but all the Velcro I got is the same. It doesn’t stick to each other. Is that right?? Im so confused. Can’t use it. HAHA so embarrassing. i figured it out. you gotta press down really hard. its like snapping it into place. love it!

This item did not make it through the first use. The comb works fine and ensures a smooth silk press. However, midway through my first use the adhesive completely melted away and so it no longer sticks to the flat iron. Leaving behindthe residue on the flat iron which you have to clean before your hair gets stuck to it. It comes with an extra Velcro strip which I will use but after that the attachment will be useless.

I recently purchased the Silk Press Comb and let me tell you, it has been an absolute game-changer in my hair routine! This is hands down the best hair tool I have ever used. From the very first use, I was blown away by just how easy and durable the comb was. With just ONE pass, my hair was silky and straight. It's as if I just went to the salon! I used to dread the time-consuming process of straightening my hair, but with this comb has reduced the time significantly! The results are long-lasting, and I receive compliments on my hair wherever I go. It has given me a newfound confidence that I didn't have before since I can now do it on my own. I can't recommend the Silk Press Comb enough. If you're looking for a hair tool that will change your routine, this is the one for you.

I bought this with high hopes and I thought it would be a solution for me not being able to get to the root of the very back of my hair. This product does work when it’s not falling off. I use A Chi x Barbie Malibu flat iron it’s a 1inch however the curve my flat iron has because you can also curl your hair very easily with it does not work well with this product. This product also claims to be heat resistant up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit. But the comb I received said it’s only resistant to 465 degrees. My flat iron was set to 420 and the Velcro was melting on the strip attached to the flat iron. I wish this product worked better for me. I’m going to need to just practice with a comb to my scalp.

Pros: not plastic, easy to attach, only way to get a true silk press on all hair types Cons: should be made of aluminum, Velcro strips are garbage, tines of the comb aren’t always cut evenly, can only use your flat iron in one direction with it attached Review: prior to purchasing this, I did the chase method by haphazardly taping a fine toothed aluminum comb to the side of my flat iron. I wanted to buy one of these before but every other listing is plastic, and we all know what happens when you place plastic next to highly heated tools. As this is made from carbon fiber, I jumped on it. You do need some extra prep to make sure this works optimally. One, the tines of the comb aren’t always cut cleanly so you’ll need to run the sharp end of a safety pin or something similarly thin but sturdy through the comb before attempting to feed your hair through it to minimize the potential of your strands getting snagged on any unfinished edges from the casting they use. Two, the Velcro strips provided are garbage. Thankfully, I have my own heavy duty Velcro strips I can use so I just replaced the ones that came with this product with ones I know will actually secure the comb in place while in use. EDIT: I just came back to emphasize that you NEED a flat iron that DOES NOT double as a hair curler for this comb to work. I just got a new flat iron and got another one of these combs, and any problems I used to have with the adhesive not sticking/melting off no longer exists. Most of the reviews here are made by people who are trying to use this with non-compatible flat irons (aka the outer casing heats up to allow for curling if the user wishes) and that’s not the fault of the product itself. There’s not a lot of flat irons out these days that don’t heat the outer casing, so you’ll have to refer to the reference pictured posted by this manufacturer for flat irons that ARE compatible with this comb to get the best results. That said, I have tightly coiled curly hair and without this attachment or something similar I would come away with frizzy, crinkly ends after spending upwards of an hour flat ironing my hair. This also ensures I only have to pass my hair through a flat iron once to get smooth results rather than going over the same section of hair multiple times to no avail. As always, please use a quality heat protectant spray before working with direct heat on your hair and the results will be fantastic.

This is the best attachment ever! I did not follow the instructions for attaching to my flat iron. For me it was better to attach the Velcro to the comb FIRST and then attach comb to curling iron. I did make sure I heard the Velcro clicking in place to the comb first as the instructions say. You will have to press very hard in order to click in place. Then I cleaned flat iron with the wipe given and attached to flat iron as instructed. Once attached it did not come off. Be patient when styling. I had to do some twisting to be sure the comb was on the outside when pressing hair. It worked great and made my hair much straighter. I love it!!!

Followed instructions and put this on my Babyliss Pro Nano Titanium (2in size/baby blue color) and within 20-30 minutes it had fallen off as I was straightening my hair. Up until that point I was super satisfied with the results of using it on my hair but obviously that was short lived satisfaction. It left the adhesive strip on my flat iron. I do not recommend unless you have no problem wasting your money. If it’s going to just fall off in the end anyway just buy the cheap version and save $15+ bucks. Good concept, poor quality.

In theory the product works. If you do not mind keeping the comb attached to the flat iron by strategically holding the device down, this product is for you. However after multiple tries the comb does not stay attached. It is cumbersome to have to hold the attached comb in place while trying to flat iron. For me it was not worth the money.
